F1 » Melbourne seeks reduced F1 fee

Ken this was also in the original statement: "Ms Asher said a 2011 economic impact statement estimated the event generated between $32 and $39 million, and another $35 million in media exposure." The initial costs are borne by the Victorian Govt but recovered through other sources. At the moment it does need a look at the Management process.

F1 » Melbourne seeks reduced F1 fee

Peter Logan does not have a clue what he is talking about and the original article does not totally read like this. It goes on to expand that Melbourne appreciate the exposure and economic benefit and they are aware other states of Australia would be more than willing to accept the prestige. Here's a excerpt:"However, Ms Asher said it was not in the government's interest to relinquish an event that had economic benefits in promoting tourism and branding Victoria." The 2013 AGP is already being heavily promoted nationally

F1 » Hamilton future 'to be known by Singapore'

Come on Ron even you can surely agree Lewis is unbalanced at McLaren. No doubting he is a competitive and a talented driver but obviously the love has worn dry at McLaren with a Divorce in order. He needs a new home which may also uncomplicate his personal life. I want to see a balanced Lewis Hamiltion although not a fan but love watching the guy when he is complete.

F1 » Webber: F1 is not a finishing school

@ feck (11 Hours Ago) No it is certainly not a disagreement. Its all representative of the topic as to the safety platforms and precautionary methods as to a Drivers welfare. Are we selfish to compete in Motorsport. I don't think so providing it is a common family interest and not for self indulgence. Our category competes on a International basis and will be doing moreso in 2013 and beyond.I have seen the death and injury of mates however safety measures are diminishing matters of this nature. We are also FIA affiliated and require to abide by there guidelines. Enrico who are you referring to as reaching 100?
