BSB » John Hopkins rides first Crescent BSB laps

It's normally this time of year I'm on the soap box beating the drum about young British talent being given a chance.. But I've got to admit I'm looking forward to seeing Hopkins at work.. If he does the business fair play to the guy.. I just can't see it myself that's all.. He's the scalp all the pack is going to want.. A huge target on his back that's for sure.. Beating an Ex MotoGP rider is a decent thing to have on your CV..

I don't know what he's in it for!! But it should interesting whatever his motivation!! Would it be enough for a man of his calibre to just win it?? Surely a man so good would have to win it comfortably?? Plenty here go for "Hopper For 2011".. Plenty say not.. I'd like to hear what the pro Hopper camp think would be considered a great season?? Personally I think he's on a hiding to nothing.. If he wins it people will say it was only to be expected.. If he doesn't it's game over for him surely??

BSB » Brookes sets hot pace on Relentless Suzuki

Testing and Qualifying is for show.. Racing is for dough.. The reason for testing is to find things out.. All the times posted were from the teams themselves.. Not the most reliable of sources eh?? Testing will never give you data on finding a gap or a block pass when you need one.. It can't teach you how to bang fairings either.. Come race time .. Come Brookes.. Rea did do a one handed jump at Cadwell.. He didn't however overtake somebody in the air in the race like Brookes did last year.. Absolutely incredible.. I'm all for the Irish but Rea has to be a very close 2nd to Brookes over the mountain I'm afraid.. Credit where it's due..

BSB » WFR: We are here to win!

Andrews, Gowland, Lowes and Richards sounds a pretty strong line up to name just 4.. Certainly as strong as Brogan, Kennaugh, Burns and Johnson if not stronger.. Looking forward to seeing if there's any improvement in lap times.. 10 nil it may of been but the racing that season was far closer than the scoreline suggests.. That's coming from a Seeley fan.. Encouraging thing is the grid is full..

BSB » First outing for Swan Yamaha in Spain

Have both these riders got the riding style to suit the Yamaha?? They are going to have to adapt that's for sure.. Laverty is very smooth carrying a lot of speed into corners which seems to suit the Yamaha on exit.. Hill seems to be more of a point and squirt type rider which doesn't seem to suit.. I've never seen the data and I'm throwing this one open to debate.. Just hope 50cc doesn't turn this into a Hill bashing session..
