MotoGP » Rossi: Disappointment after Valencia 'very big'

Sete: I’ve always felt Rossi lucked into a string of world championships from 2001 to 2005, a fast guy riding the best bike against a field of less than top level riders. The guys who came second and third included Capirossi, Ukawa, Gibernau, Melandri, Hayden and Biaggi. Of these Biaggi was the only real top drawer rider capable of a serious challenge. The next year Hayden beat Rossi for the WC and what did Hayden ever win since? Rossi has always been consistently fast, but not necessarily the fastest. He’s only won 9 grand prix in the last 6 years. Now he’s up against a whole bunch of fast guys, all capable of winning Grand Prix on a regular basis, I just don’t see any more championships for Rossi anytime soon. This year he tried to do a Hayden and steal the crown with consistent podiums, but Jorge won 7 races and dominated the field. To see Rossi unable to congratulate Jorge for his WC and then to boycott the FIM awards ceremony, speaks volumes about Rossi as a person

MotoGP » MotoGP Star of the Year vote: Full Results

ondablade: Contd The pity is that rule based efforts to make matters appear squeaky clean are likely to remove even more of what's left of the integrity or 'reality on show' based nature that always made motorcycle racing so attractive. The nastiness is masked, and instead of the issues getting worked through and providing a learning opportunity for all following they remain unresolved. Just like happens in our our societies, but in miniature.
ondablade, - Could you possibly shorten your comments to just one post at a time? Cheers.

MotoGP » Jarvis: Enough of the polemics, let's move on

Husky93 NOVEMBER 09, 2015 4:39 PM BrazilDUluwita: One Thing that I can't ever stop thinking or figuring it out by myself is, Valentino Rossi is an Italian... yet how come he is being loved and so popular globally!!!!. And why the others aren't as much as Valentino Rossi?. I hate Rossi and all he stands for, no love here Husky - well you have finally admitted your hatred for Rossi, something that is obvious but I seem to recall your denying it some time back. Good to see the haters finally admitting to it.

MotoGP » Honda withholds Sepang clash data

Cadweller: Honda come out of this very badly since Sepang. Overheated, ill-judged press statements that certainly have 'added fuel to the fire'. Only Pedrosa has maintained some semblance of dignified silence. Lorenzo, Rossi, Marquez all managed to hold their tongues and say just about the right things on day one of Valencia, even an apology or two. Honda wade in like a drunk in a pub brawl that everyone else is trying to break up - then claim they're acting like saints by withholding the data. Til after the race! Why release it at all now? I trust it will include all the laps leading up to the crash, eh, Livio?
Maybe they need more time to "doctor" the data?
