MotoGP » Valentino Rossi, Marlboro and Yamaha

@there there now. " Cruthlow and Bautista will NEVER win a premier class title, and I state that with absolute confidence " Prey tell how you can make such preposterous claims Crutchlow, good as he is is desperately to get a full factory ride and looks like has blown that chance by yapping too much about his "contract" Prospects don't look good. Bautista will stay on a satellite Honda - unless Rossi should take that ride.... Hi prospects don't look so great iether. Don't get me wrong, I think they are both great riders and love their aggressive riding style - but - you asked how such a "preposterous claim" could be made. Cheers

@gutbucket. How long have you actually been following MotoGP? How is Rossi "wrecking motgp"? This thread alone has gone to 31 pages and any mention of Rossi generates tremendous interest. Rossi adds to MotoGP more than any other rider. Politics has always been a part of MotoGP-this is big business. Get used to it. Biaggi was not "forced out of MotoGP" He did it too himself by being a difficult rider to work with for both his team and sponsors. He has seemingly mellowed considerably and is now likable. Rossi the only rider to change tire manufacturer? Really? What about Pedrosa? Lorenzo gets no mention? Because most did not like his arrogant attitude and awful "victory celebrations" He has matured a lot and becoming quite likable. Stoner "has had a gutsful of racing" Stoner made himself unpopular by "whining". Whenever something was not right, it was never his fault, someone getting in his way, the bike, whatever. Not called "Stoner the moaner" for nothing. Won't be missed by many You s

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: New engine 'not ready', ECU fall

@Realist, Sorry I cannot find the link but I do recall reading two articles essentially saying that Carlos was looking to leave Ducati, presumably because after testing the Panigale he was not impressed. It was also linked to another story that Biaggi was possibly looking to jump ship, both BMW and Kawasaki were thought to be possibilities for iether or both riders. IF I remember correctly, it was said that Biaggi was looking for more power. I dunno??

@Shamarone, don't be too sure about the 1199 being a great bike at WSB level-Checa had a test ride on it and is now reportedly looking for another team. Apparently he was not impressed with it. Interesting that the Panagale has a stressed carbon fibre frame similar to the 2011 MotoGP frame. Seems to be a great bike for us lesser mortals, but maybe not at the WSB level. Will be very interesting indeed.

MotoGP » Mugello MotoGP test times - Monday 3pm

Just testing I know-but, looking at Rossi's and Hayden's times I am hoping that Rossi quits Ducati. Further, Ducati likely dropping Nikki may be a blessing in disguise, maybe he can get a more competitive ride, nothing wrong with WSB. Yes, I know the race results were fairly good but the other factories are upping the ante and the Ducs while improving it could be a long time yet before they start winning races.

MotoGP » Rossi laments soft-tyre woes, expects better race

Well, I admit to being a long time Rossi fan but I have about given up on anything good coming from the Ducati partnership. When Rossi is a second slower than Hayden on the same bike - and even worse with Barbera on the front row on a satellite Duc. Time I think to leave Ducati - anything, Honda, Yamaha, whatever, maybe best of all would be to move to WSB, then we might enjoy some old time duels with Max. Better racing anyway. Is it just me or does Hayden seem to go faster come contract time?

MotoGP » 'Honda will give Marquez a full factory bike'

@Spies Fan., MotoGP is a very different league than AMA. Good as Spies was-and hopefully will be again, it has been shown time and time again that the very best riders in AMA or WSB, run into a wall when they race in MotoGP. By the way-what is your source for the "sleeved R1 engine"? I don't know what is up with Ben at present, but certainly hope he can get it all together again. I am a fan of Spies but don't think he can take it to Cal & Dovi, let alone JL & stoner.
