WSBK » Marco Melandri excited by Aprilia return

I just hope that next season either the other riders start giving as good as they get where Mellandri is concerned or race control actually grow a pair and deal with him on the many occasions it is deserved. Giving marco what is probably the fastest bike on the grid is a recipe for disaster, " my bike eet ees queeker and thee other rideers should know thees and brace for eempact"

MotoGP » Marquez lauds 'important' second, faces title showdown

@ chikading Mm erring on the side of caution, that's a belter ! Try asking some of his many victims about his cautious racing style, he's blindingly quick (maybe a bad choice of words given his eye problems after he cautiously rammed somebody on a cool down lap) but a danger to all others on track with him. And for people to compare his rookie season with many other riders is a moot point seeing as the rookie rule was done away with to allow him to join the team with the best bike at the moment, how many other riders have had their rookie season on the best bike on the grid when there have been so few bikes capable of fighting for the win ?

MotoGP » Marquez: I just touched Pedrosa a little bit

As some have already stated, it was a racing incident but it doesn't change the fact that it was caused by Marquez. On one of the replays you could quite clearly see the back end of Pedrosa's bike twitch just as Marquez snagged the wire, if he hadn't made contact (no matter how slight) Pedrosa wouldn't have crashed so I'm really not sure how anybody can say it was Dani's own accident.

WSS » Sofuoglu: It's a level playing field in Turkey

@ pcxmac You can quote or reference as many philosophers as you like, it doesn't make your opinion any more valid than mine or anybody else's. Unless you have access to all the technical information for both bikes, the ability to ride at the highest level and track time on both bikes back to back then all you are doing is giving your opinion which is exactly what forums like this are for. There is however no need to call people ignorant or liars etc and given your pop at state education, can I assume that you were privileged enough to be privately educated ? If this is the case, by your own social hierarchy you should know better than most.

WSS » Sofuoglu: It's a level playing field in Turkey

@ pcxmac Give it a rest, we've heard it all before. Lowes' bike is better, rossi's bike is better, everybody's bike is better than whoever you want to win. Why on earth would the commentators try and influence the purchasing activity of joe public when it comes to when or what they should buy ? Clutching at straws or just run out of sensible comments to make...........can't make my mind up. Why can't you just congratulate Lowes for being in the position he is rather than constantly trying to belittle his achievements ?

WSS » Yakhnich protest against Sofuoglu thrown out

The guys that say top speed is not relevant are the ones you don't see riding a bike, because they most likely don't have one. Top speed and acceleration are vitally important in racing, doesn't matter if its bikes, cars, horses or athletics etc. if you have an advantage in these areas then the race is yours to lose. Motogp 2007 was a perfect example of this, the ducati did not handle as well as the honda or yamaha but had the power and speed advantage to pass everybody on the straights and then he just took a defensive line in the turns to maintain his advantage, power and speed won ducati the title that year.
