MotoGP » MotoGP weight debate rumbles on

@ show me the money! Preziosi is on the mark with this one, less money spent on making the bike allows more money to be spent testing and getting the bike sorted outwith race weekends, which in turn should promote more entertaining racing. I don't know about you but I'd welcome the return of closer racing instead of maybe a couple of races a year being worth watching.

@ shamarone It's quite clear I was referring to a fresh approach which was markedly different from preziosi's, as preziosi's was clearly not working. As for the design of the panigale, when you say that this concept goes over the layperson are you including all the ducati moto gp technicians who couldn't get the gp bike to work with that design. We must all fall into the layperson category if that's your rational.

Maybe preziosi isn't the man for the job anymore. Perhaps some new people with fresh ideas and different way of approaching things would be better placed to take the project forward. If the carbon frameless bike with c.f. swingarm was such a good design every other manufacturer would be going down that route, he eventually gave in and went to traditional frame and maybe should go back to basics with other things also, appears to work for everybody else.
