RR » TT 2015: Dunlop ditches Yamaha for BMW!

rsd: Maybe if he got paid like Alonso to ride his piece of crap he wouldn't care.. But he likes to win and tries his best to get the tools he needs to do that. Mickey is the man, followed by Bruce Anstey. Martin will NEVER win and hopefully, McGuinness NEVER again!
Take your head out your @rse , nobody gets paid like Alonso to race at the TT, they do it because they want to and want to win. I'm not saying the top guys don't get paid but they don't get nearly as much as they deserve. However, to dump your team a couple of days before you're due to race is shocking, he knew what he'd signed up for and should have stuck with it. As others have said, who's going to employ him now ? Hope his personal sponsors are more loyal than he is.

MotoGP » Dovi: Now the podium is not enough

bikenut: No - Nicky gave up trying.
If Hayden had stopped trying he wouldn't have been there in 2012. And if you actually remember the 2011 season you'll recall it was actually Rossi who quite clearly was not giving it his all towards the end, and who can blame him seeing as he was leaving and ducati's reluctance to make the required changes to the bike (many of which were also asked for by Stoner and others)

MotoGP » Dovi: Now the podium is not enough

bikenut:
realfan: @ bikeNUT 1st time on a new bike and you expect him to be as quick as Stoner who had been on the bike for years throughout its evolution getting used to all its quirks and problems, it's not me that's talking s#%t mate.
Rossi is a better racer than Dovi - agreed The Yamaha is a better package than the Ducati - agreed? And yet Dovi has beaten Rossi once this year and will do it again ???
The Ducati is not far off the Yamaha or the Honda this year, it has some advantages and so do the others, if Rossi , Marquez or Lorenzo were on a gp15 it would have won a race already this year.

MotoGP » Dovi: Now the podium is not enough

bikenut: Well how do you think? The reason Dovi finished in front of Rossi in 2011 and 2012 is that Rossi couldn't get to grips with the Ducati - why else?
It's not so much that Rossi couldn't get to grips with the Ducati, more like the bike wasn't capable of better results. If you look at points tally for Rossi and Dovi on the Ducati, Rossi scored better than Dovi, it was only after Gigi took control and started making changes that Dovi's results started improving. Even Stoner's results were declining each year after winning the championship in 2007, and he's the one person who could ride around most of the bike's problems.

MotoGP » Dovi: Now the podium is not enough

bikenut:
Painless: Makes you wonder doesn't it. What would Rossi or Marquez do on the GP15? Can Dovi take that extra step? In 2011 he had a new team mate in his Honda Repsol Team. That team mate score 10 wins and Dovi none. I hope Dovi can find that bit extra but past performance is a bit worrying.
Well I do wonder how MM would go on the Ducati but already know how Rossi would go ........
Has Rossi had a secret test on the gp15 that nobody else knows about ?
