WRC » Ogier to lead Volkswagen entry

**ermouth, spot on I think, Matthew aside, malcolm's driver choice has been very good the only reason it didn't bear fruit was bad luck, less money and Loeb. He left Latvala off the leash up until last year, as there is NO DOUBT his silly crashing in 2009 cost Mikko the championship (re in poland where he binned it on the last stage and Loeb got extra points, to name on event)Mikko has been excellent up until last year and this year when bad luck affected his confidence. He is a great driver who is highly consistent and quick when on from. He was able to win rallies against Loeb AND Gronholm. I sure hope Malcolm and Ford stay as a works team next year, it would be a shame to see Loeb sleep walk to another title, or two.

I'd say Ford could only offer him a million odd, citroen were giving him a fraction what Loeb was getting, probably 3 v 8 million ish. Now vw will make Ogier number 1 and he will get a lot more than he had been getting at Citroen, and will open the flood gates for a rise in salary following man. Let's not forget about Mikko, he's probably getting three times more as Citroen number 2 than he was at Ford...they're no fools these guys!
