F1 » Button undone by poor pace and puncture

A very tight season so far where the fastest cars seem to vary from race to race, and I love seeing multiple winners. McLaren are (in my opinion) usually among the best at developing the car over the course of the year, but have some work to do with strategy and pitstop execution. It will be interesting to see what updates are brought to the Mugello test and worked onto the cars for Spain. I also wonder if anyone will have figured out an efficient way to copy the Mercedes DRS duct.

F1 » Protests take place as F1 arrives in Bahrain

I'm not surprised that there have been protests following the arrival of F1 in Bahrain. For the protesters it represents an opportunity to present their dissatisfaction on a global scale. These protests should have been expected, but already seems as if they're being handled poorly. There's some stories on bbcnews and cnn (cnn has a video posted on the 16th) about the protests that I tried to link, but not allowed. I agree with Tommo that many communities around the world would likely respect peaceful protests more than violence, and have more sympathy for peaceful protests quelled with violence. Hopefully this will be the worst that happens, and that violence doesn't spill over into the grand prix. These things do have a tendency to escalate though

F1 » Whitmarsh doubts Button victory credentials

@pcxmac Good point. So far McLaren has been fortunate that their car has pace, AND some of the other front runners have had some issues. The field seems to be very close this year, and if they're going to win the WCC and/or WDC they need to get the pit stops and strategies together. The team gave Hamilton some decent stops Sunday, but had troubles in Malaysia. This weekend it happened with Button. Fortunately its still early in the season, but every point and every second counts and the last thing you want is to defeat yourself.

F1 » Vettel, RBR to discuss ignored orders

Richard - What do you think, RBR looking to gain an advantage from an unfortunate circumstance? Seems to me then that they were probably seeking an advantage heading to China... I somehow doubt that the back to back defending World Constructor's Champions would be so confused if there was a "real" emergency with the car. Who knows if Vettel's radio was fully functional or not though.
