MOTOGP » Le Mans: ‘Difficult but not impossible’ for third row Rossi

The electronics are a huge factor!! The difference over they years is the ratio between the rider and the bike. Way back when JB had it right 80% rider and 20% bike. Now it is something like 65% rider and 35% bike. But first and foremost, Honda can put millions into the electronics and as the result they can make the most power with the allotted fuel. Remember Rossi barely finished the race. Which means Yamaha is at the very edge, while Honda has room to spare. The throttle control has been taken away, leaving the electronics to master accelerating out of a corner, and right now the people with the most engineering dollars has the advantage.

MOTOGP » Hector Barbera statement following assault charge

Someone asked who won the fight? Now that was funny! Since when has a man EVER won a fight with a woman? One way or another the man loses every time. The man may think he won that battle, even if it is just a battle of bad language, the woman will torture him for the rest of his life. If a man hits a woman, he lowers himself and loses even more badly. Just apologize and try to get away. Fighting with them is futile.

MOTOGP » Chassis evaluation for Lorenzo, Rossi

Riders give feedback, i.e this works, this doesn't, this is better, this is worse, the bike understeers, the bike hops when going into a corners while braking hard...etc. The engineers take that feedback and make changes to try and improve or fix based on the feedback. In the Lorenzo case, his feedback steers the development in a direction that suits him best. And if the engineers know their stuff, they can get the bike to work like the rider likes it. So of course the bike after two years is the way Lorenzo likes it. It is not the wrong direction, if it worked for Lorenzo it is a good direction. Rossi likes it different(as he should), so it will take the engineers time to learn what he wants. Yamaha has limited resources compared to Honda, so things don't always go as quickly or as smoothly and one would hope.

MOTOGP » Jerez MotoGP test times - Monday (Final)

Why does everyone expect so much? The Yamaha is a very precise motorcycle that needs time to setup correctly. Unlike the Honda that is so evolved that dialing it in seems to be a tweak here and a tweak there. Even Lorenzo who is used to the thing, couldn't keep pace with Pedrosa. Rossi is methodical in his approach and once dialed in will be closer to the pointy end. It will happen, it just may take some time.

MOTOGP » MotoGP Jerez: Rossi best qualifying despite fast fall

I am glad to to see the moderators deleted most of the inane hate posts. I wonder why these people try to ruin it for others. Oh yeah, the old childish schoolyard they did it first excuse, well some of us never have, so why ruin it for everyone? I think that we are in for a hell of a race tomorrow. Rossi is in a reasonable starting position and if he doesn't get held up, there just may be an epic battle in our future.
