MotoGP » Marquez, Pedrosa regroup after double DNF

I am the first to say that the Honda is superior in many ways. But it takes a special talent to extract what MM has done. If MM was on a Yamaha, chances are that it would not have been the run away title that it was. As for the DP, MM comparison. There is none, MM is in another league most of the time. DP has the same kit and has been developing it to his riding style for a very long time. Put DP on a Yamaha all year and he would be fighting for 5th.

MotoGP » Hayden ‘gradually’ recovering wrist strength

The only real problem with Nicky is his wearing that wannabe Gangsta hat, making him look 40 IQ points dumber. Other than that he is a consistent, hard working rider that conveys a good image (even with the stupid hat). Yes, all the cards fell in is favor for his one WC. But he had to ride, and ride well to finish on the podium consistantly and not crash. IMO he is not a world beater on a MotoGP bike, but given a competitive bike, he still may turn a few heads.

MotoGP » Ducati confirms 'GP14.2' debut

It still amazes me how people here take quotes from Rossi and Burgess and morph them into a different meaning. The 80 seconds remark was about the satellite riders wobbling around. Nothing about the factory bike understeer. And they still say it was Rossi that said the 80% rider and 20% bike, when in reality it was Burgess who said it.

MotoGP » Rossi ‘closer to goal’ heading to Silverstone

TalentFan@ Not really. Everything changes on a minute by minute basis. Just using temp: The frame will flex differently with temp. The forks and shock will act differently with temp. The tires change dramatically with temp. Each of these things are independent of one another and affect setup. Fuel level plays a great part in the handling, seat length and position also play a big part. Setup is a compromise that tries, but will never succeed to be optimum. And sometimes riders do have times where things aren't comfortable and the limits are....shall we say... elusive.

MotoGP » Rossi: Marc’s wins the rider, mine the Honda...

LeisureSuitLarry: I seem to recall that when Rossi was on the Honda he disputed that it was just the machine. He was quoted as saying it was 80% the rider, 20% the bike. Fair enough, I'll buy that, although how he can reconcile that statement to his days on the Ducati I'm not quite sure. Anyway, equally the same must apply therefore with Marc Marquez. 80% him, 20% the Honda? Sauce for the goose and all that. It might also be worth pointing out that the performance difference between the Honda RC211V that Rossi rode and the early Yamaha was huge. Whilst the RC213V is clearly the superior motorcycle the difference to the current Yamaha M1 is far less pronounced.
I wonder how many times people her will get the 80% 20% quote WRONG? It was not Rossi, but J Burgess who made the comment. If you need proof, watch Faster.
