MOTOGP » Schwantz, Kagayama, Haga to race Suzuka 8 Hours!

Simply amazing the people who think Schwantz isn't capable of doing this. Motorcycling is not like soccer. One just needs to be in good shape to ride a race bike, even for a long time. At 48 one just needs to work out regularly. As for talent, anyone who has witnessed Schwantz riding a Superbike knows he is nothing short of fantastic. I used to watch him at Laguna before he went to the 500s and it was a sight to see. At Sears point he made Rainey look like he was going backwards. And you just don't lose that talent, especially when you are riding on a race track all the time. GO KEVIN!!!

MOTOGP » Austin MotoGP: Rossi defensive sixth, 'lost part of a disc'

Unbelievable, the haters just keep at it to stir things up. The brakes were a problem from the beginning. Then to lose part of a disk and stay in the points is a real accomplishment. Carbon disks are about the only disks that can happen with, and those blaming the crew don't realize that Brembo is to blame, they have the equipment to deal with the brakes. How many other riders would have stayed out? Much less scored valuable points.

MOTOGP » Austin MotoGP: Braking woes leave Rossi eighth

One off laps are one thing and racing on a slick track with worn tires is another. The Yamahas don't work well here and the only way they will do well is "grind away" at the competition. The big problem is not letting the Hondas get too far away. But hopefully like so many times time before Rossi's crew finds something in the last practice. Maybe Rossi digests what he learns in the previous practices and puts it together on race day. Let's hope for a slice through the pack performance.

MOTOGP » Rossi: Welkom '04 more special, Marquez 'better than me!'

@JAS, Well I kinda did. My point is and was that the rider or the crew chief can only make suggestions to engineering. What comes back is the engineer's interpretation of the information and his ability to turn those suggestions into working hardware. The rider and crew chief do not design and engineer a bike. The only thing a rider or crew chief can be blamed for is not giving accurate feedback. And every single rider has given the same and Ducati's engineering has NOT fixed it yet.

MOTOGP » Caught out in Qatar

I don't see what everyone is complaining about. The guy has command of the English language and writes blogs that give us some insight as to what is going on. What is wrong with that? Better than nothing, and if you don't like his blog, why read it? No one is forcing anyone to read anything. As for him deserving the ride, someone with a bit more insight must have felt he deserved it. He qualified pretty well for his first time out. It is a pretty safe bet to say the anyone here complaining about him, couldn't come near to him in any contest of speed on a road racing motorcycle.

MOTOGP » Rossi: Welkom '04 more special, Marquez 'better than me!'

@JAS, Since when does an engineering department let the crew chief engineer a bike? The way it works is they are supposed to listen to input and suggestions and then make changes or redesign. What comes back is from the engineering department, and from what has been said Ducati's engineering department listens very little. They even get pissed when someone suggests their bike didn't work. Why do you think their last two #1 riders left. Because the bike and the engineering were so good?
