I had no idea about those comments by stoner the moaner, I only knew about the tantrum he threw at Laguna.
My estimation of him is now at it's very lowest!
Well done Vale, you have shown that its rider ability that shines through in this sport, not mechanical superiority.

I reckon Marco will be in the top 5 alongside Gibbers, Stoner the moaner, Hayden and Vale to retain his title. As much as I'd like to see a Brit among the front runners, I don't think he's good enough.

Aint that the truth! Those are well documented and irrefutible facts yet there are people out there who refuse to acknowledge them. Rossi will blitz the opposition again in 2009, he will provide some superb entertainment both on and off the track. It's a shame that certain people out there just can't sit back and enjoy the spectacle. Vale can do no wrong!

As Vale told Stoner the Moaner at Laguna when the spoilt brat threw his toys out of the pram - "that's racing" You say "out of control" - if you're in control you're not doing it properly! What boring racing that would be. Vale's a national hero in Italy and his popularity is unprecedented, Barry Sheene came close to this kind of status but nothing like the Rossi phenomenon. Sheene's popularity gave him a lot of clout with the racing authorities and many important safety features were introduced to the sport as a result of his "demands". Vale's ego there because he IS the greatest racer that has ever graced a race circuit. I can see no evidence ANYWHERE to refute this fact.

I have just received confirmation that this race is definitely on. It will be the WSBK second round at Losail, Qatar on 14th March 2009. Vale will be riding a WSB spec Yamaha YZF-R1. In my opinion, he already has proved that he is the world's best rider and this race will make his status totally undisputed! Stoner the moaner has had sand kicked in his face and gibbering Gibernau is coming back for more humiliation. 2008 was a superb season for Rossi fans, 2009 looks even more promising. Well done Vale!

I think Marco will be one to watch next season. Also can't wait to see what Vale & Jorge have in store for Gibbers and Moaner! Two whingers on Ducatis, I wonder what complaints & excuses they'll be making this time. Yes Cassie, that's racing!

How come there's a load of people disagreeing with my comment about Sheene using the knee-down technique before Kenny Roberts, its a known fact that Barry Sheene's brother in law, Paul Smart (Scott's dad), was among the first to use the knee-down riding style in top class racing, and that was in the sixties while KR was still in short pants! You can't wear knee sliders with short pants.

Barry Sheene used the knee-down technique well before Kenny Roberts came on the scene!

What is that leg waving thing? Tried it today on my GSX1400, didn't make much difference!

The icing on the cake will be Vale's defeat of stoner the moaner at his home track - Phillip Island. "that's racing? We'll see" I bet the moaner wishes he never said those words at Laguna!
