MotoGP » Rossi 'happy and satisfied' with front row

After his first run when he was using Lorenzo as a buffer I had a good idea what comment section would look like but he didn't give them that chance with his second run. Such a welcome sight to see Rossi put in a serious challenge for pole. Hope its a clean and exciting race tomorrow :) Another thing, BT is offering superb coverage. That slow motion of Rossi going through sector 2 with his body hanging off the bike and sparks flying of his elbow and knee sliders was a thing of beauty. There was another shot where Dani's bike looked like it was having a stroke while going through chicane!

MotoGP » Rossi: Marc’s wins the rider, mine the Honda...

I know its the norm to put down previous generation riders but Rossi has beaten his fair share back in the day. Like Jed mentioned above there were riders who were capable of winning on their day. IMO Rossi's biggest achievement is winning the title in 08 when everyone predicted he was finished and then going one step further and defending it next year, something which hasn't been replicated since.

RockNRolla46: Can we stop bi*ching about Yamaha's lack of acceleration now?
Yamaha acceleration is fine, in the gyroscopic cam you could see they are quick on acceleration, they have put in a lot of work. The difference between them and Honda is that Honda's are too strong on the brakes, did you see how Marquez was closing almost 100 meters in braking?

MotoGP » Rossi: There was something wrong

Ageing is part of life, do people expect a sportsperson to be at their peak of powers all the time? Rossi is now competing against a third generation rider in Marc at age of 35 in his 19th consecutive in motorcycle racing. I think he's doing pretty well. Its not Rossi's fault competition when he broke through was inferior to the current climate, they very same way it was not Roger Federer fault in tennis when he was beating Agassi, Hewitt, Rod**** and Safin. The only common factor between these two legends is whenever a younger generation has thrown a challenge at them, they have come back winning championships and grand slams. That's they very reason both are so highly thought of and often mentioned as GOAT in their respective sport.
