MotoGP » Rossi wins dramatic wet British GP

That brought memories of Donington Park, 2005. Wet masterclass from the Master! CoTA and Aragon remain the only MotoGP tracks where Rossi hasn't won, Argentina and Silverstone knocked off that list. How can anyone seriously put down this man? You had to fancy him in a wet race considering his pace in warm up and he had it under control all the way through. That's why I said after Brno, it's far too early to be handing out championship, and even after today it's early to make Rossi favorite. It'll carry on till the penultimate round in Sepang imo. Redding said he's more talented than Petrucci and then Petrucci goes on and does that, simply an unbelievable ride by him not only to oust factory Honda and Yamaha but one of his own manufacturers. Next we go to Misano, I know it's been said many times but I reckon this is where Rossi and Lorenzo go head to head for victory. An all Italian podium after Qatar 2015, good times!

MotoGP » Lorenzo lays down FP3 marker as home riders shine

VKal: You sounding like a farmer, mate. Hope it rains... come on. Is this how VR is going to win the WC, counting on rainy days? Look at JL FP3 time sheet, compare it with VR timesheet... JL has stepped up after the break, big time.
what the hell? did I say I hope it rains tomorrow? I just said from Rossi's perspective his best shot is it if it rains tomorrow to nullify somewhat of the damage and yes I did take a look at the time sheets, that's why I said Rossi has to step up otherwise his best hope is if it rains tomorrow. Don't know why you were so eager to pounce on me earlier, peace out.

MotoGP » Lorenzo lays down FP3 marker as home riders shine

Rossi has never been that quick around here anyway. CoTA, Indy, Silverstone and Aragon are the weakest tracks on the calendar for him, having said that to win championship you need to be quick on them all and he hasn't stepped it up on his weaker ones. I'm sure his preferred tracks will come soon but it could be too late as Lorenzo is stamping his authority on the lead. His only hope is that it rains tomorrow, otherwise Lorenzo will at the very least make 9 points on him this weekend.

I love last few minutes of FP3, it's mini qualifying. Marquez pace is much much better than anyone else, while Rossi broke into high 1 21s consistently today, MM was belting out 1.21.6 and 7. Pedrosa I thought got held up every time he tried a quick run, his pace is better than it suggests. Lorenzo struggling but it didn't stop him from putting in one fast lap. Harsh on Redding to miss out on Q2 by .07 but he should progress after Q1. Qualifying should be close but expect the pole battle to be between two Repsols.

MotoGP » Lorenzo wins, ties world championship lead

Whenever we think race will be a cracker, it turns out to be a snoozer. But can you blame the man in front? Not his fault if his competitors can't match his pace. The confidence which this victory will give to him and his side of garage is huge, do not downplay the importance of this GP. Rossi has to improve, period. It's good that he has amazing consistency of finishing on podium in every race but it's of no use if you don't win World championship in the end. He has to show all his cards from FP1 from now on and go head on with Lorenzo for victory. Yearby23 Lol what? Lin Jarvis was happy to see Lorenzo win and this is the same man who ditched Rossi and picked Lorenzo 5 years back. He doesn't give a rat's ass who wins between them 2 as long as they win constructors title and world title.

New leader in the championship after a dominant performance, full credit to Lorenzo and from celebrations you can gauge how important this GP was. We head into one of his favorite and one of Rossi's worst track i.e., Silverstone next. Still think it's too early to start handing out championship, there will be turns and twists. On another note, I haven't seen Rossi that flattened on the podium. He knows he has a mountain to climb from here but let's hope he can take the fight to Lorenzo. He has nothing to lose from here on, just pile as much pressure as you possibly can on Lorenzo.

MotoGP » Lorenzo wins, ties world championship lead

@Polyccio I doubt he's a fan of either but he'll take more pleasure in beating the top dog depending on their form. If it's Rossi then Rossi, if Lorenzo then vice versa. I think people are jumping the gun a bit, yes this was a very important race in terms of championship but there are still seven rounds left and both Marquez and Rossi will make life difficult for Lorenzo. He's in the driving seat now, so pressure is on.

Ridiculously fast pace at the front and another circuit lap record is shattered, the level is so high at the moment we are truly witnessing one of the greatest era of racing, soak it all in. Marquez is a lot clever than people give him credit for, labeling him rash, bonehead and what not. Perfect example of biding his time to make the move late on when he knows he can't break away at the front. Top effort by Lorenzo too to keep him at bay for so long. Rossi couldn't have asked for a better result considering this weekend as he only lost 4 points, qualifying again remains his achilles heel. Ridiculous notion to suggest he doesn't have the pace of Marquez and Lorenzo on the basis of this track (which is one of his worst) when he's been on the podium 10 times this season.
