MotoGP » MotoGP Le Mans - Race Results

Great race, masterclass at the front from Lorenzo. He's truly back, Jerez was not a one weekend show. But most impressive was Iannone, that was unbelievable. Took no sh*t from Marquez. Rossi made it ninth consecutive podium, I told you ladies to calm down and don't determine the winner from qualifying and practice. Having said that he has to qualify better, his race pace was amazing despite showing nothing in the practice. Also put down fastest lap of the race but chasing a leader while picking off 5-6 riders every race means he gives himself far too much to do. Roll on Mugello!

I'm lost for words, not enough superlatives to put it into context what he's doing at this age. His race pace was out of this world. Laying down Circuit Lap Record with 5 laps to go, are you kidding me? Coming to Marquez, he has to learn to accept being second best at times for sake of championship. Can't believe how hot he ran on brakes at the end of back straight. Just close the gas and take 20 points. Very curious to see if the relationship between him and Rossi will turn little fiesty. Finally, congrats to Cal for his first Honda podium.

MotoGP » Rossi: We were always fighting some problem

So many names popping up and we didn't hear a screech from them since Qatar! Worry not though, Valentino will firmly plant his foot in their mouth again. I said it after QP, Lorenzo is massive favorite for this. No one had his pace, ideally Rossi would've wanted to finish ahead of Marquez as both had same pace but he lost a lot of time at start trying to pass Pol while Marquez kept up with Lorenzo for first few laps when he was lapping at record pace. Still 4 podiums on the trot, and 200th podium overall. So a good day for him.

That was underwhelming to say the least, but we all knew this could happen after Lorenzo's pace in the practice. He looks in top form and we have another contender. Outstanding effort from Marquez to keep Rossi at bay, think Rossi lost too much time in the beginning behind Pol, Lorenzo churned out high 1 38s in the beginning and Marquez kept pace with him opening that gap. Still 200th podium for him and surely more to come. Hope Le Mans is a cracker!

MotoGP » Rossi and Marquez: Racing incident

Honda and Marquez stand on this issue has me worried. Nothing from their PR suggests they think Marquez made a mistake instead statements like 'you saw what happened' suggests they think Rossi deliberately flicked it early. So all said and done he'll probably race even harder against Rossi from now onwards. Don't how this will end for them though!

MotoGP » Rossi: I hope this contract isn't my last

Brain: I predicted a Yamaha win at Qatar, and i predicted a Marquez domination at Cota. Its going about how i figured it would go. I predict another Marquez win this weekend.
As if predicting a Marquez win takes cojones? Whom are you trying to bs here. You predicted Lorenzo would take the Qatar win and also said Rossi's last year was more of an exception rather than norm. I quote 'Rossi will be battling Dovi, Ianonne, Pedrosa and Cruychlow more this year than Marquez and Lorenzo.' You can obviously contribute to the discussion well in other threads but your posts in the Rossi thread are tiresome and reek of agenda. We get it, you don't like the guy so move on.

MotoGP » Rossi 'focused and prepared' for Argentina

Very curious how this one will play out. Interesting point about everyone opting for harder tire last year which are not available to Ducati but Iannone showed some decent pace. For Rossi, minimum aim should be podium but win would lay down a marker. I remember he ran wide a couple of times last year but his pace was steady and quick. Still needs to improve though as Marquez had almost three tenths per lap on everyone. Hoping for a close and safe battle this Sunday!

MotoGP » Dovi prevented 'perfect weekend' for Rossi

The steam is building fast for him to challenge for 10th crown but I just hope the enormous expectations ease off a bit. People are constantly talking how Europe will mean Rossi will fare better but in the very same Europe last season, Marquez wiped the floor with the entire field. Plus, there is Ducati who have built a fantastic base for their bike and it's working everywhere. Lorenzo is no mug too, he's been beaten by his teammate for last 2 races and you can bet he's also waiting for Europe because his record there is fantastic too. So, competition is tougher than ever before and I believe Yamaha have to improve for him to have a shot at victory at all tracks. Just enjoy the races one by one before building up this huge expectation for Rossi to take his 10th crown.
