MotoGP » Redding: It’s wearing me down

As usual he gets far too much stick on here but the fact is we are into 8th race of the season and he's still no where near the pace where he should be, having a new team is obviously a little problem but it's not as if they have never worked on a bike. To lay the blame on MVDS is wrong, they have invested a lot of money in Redding by moving up and if anyone should be frustrated it's them. The fact that he says he already feels on the limit is very worrying, if he doesn't improve his seat could be in trouble. There's far too much talent down in Moto2 classes and every machinery in premier class will be keenly contested.

MotoGP » Fast Rossi favours new chassis, wary of Honda

So that rumor about Rossi getting 1 new chassis and Lorenzo 2 was bs. Good to see Yamaha treating them equally. It's stupid to pick race winners on practice, as so many variables can come into play but the most interesting thing about today was Rossi's pace on hard tyre. No one looks anywhere near it. Let's hope it's a safe and exciting race. EDIT: Just read that from next year onwards Assen race will take place on Sunday. Really bummed about this decision as Assen was always a special race due to it's rich history and the tradition of holding race on a Saturday.

MotoGP » Espargaro repeats fall, takes positives to Aragon test

Aleix was most impressive rider outside of the factory boys, he hasn't had many podiums or poles to show for in his time here but he's fighting against top top level riders. He's improved in his time in premier class and its premature and rather foolish to say he's 'maxed' out. Obviously I and most rate Vinales higher because he has a cool head on him, to me Aleix is just too eager to make up results which aren't yet to be made on that bike. His experience is vital for Suzuki to hone that bike for next years and beyond so no wonder he was first pick of the last year satellite boys by Davide Brivio.

MotoGP » Lorenzo resists Rossi for 4-in-a-row, Marquez falls

There is testing tomorrow, so Rossi and his team has a full day to work out his qualifying problem. As ridiculous it may sound but the winner is being decided by grid position on Saturday, such is the level at the moment. Rossi again losing a second and a half behind Pol and Dovi, it's same every race just replace Pol with Smith or Dovi with Iannone. Rinse and repeat. The bigger picture here is Pedrosa finished 20 secs behind the two Yamahas! Nakamoto san won't be happy. EDIT: Don't know why so many disagrees on what Gavhul46 said. Look at analysis. Lorenzo's 1st lap 1:46:341, Rossi 1st lap 1:47:374. There is your one second. Oh and Lorenzo dropped into 1:43s multiple times while Rossi strung 23 laps in 1:42s. There is not much into it, if anything Rossi has been consistently faster than Lorenzo in 2nd part of the races. Poor qualifying has cost Rossi his 28pts lead over Lorenzo and it maybe more if he doesn't improve.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: It was not enough

'The other problem is that in qualifying you have a lot of bikes that are fast for one lap [on the soft Open class tyre] and slower in the race. But Jorge has my bike and tyres and he is able to put some riders between me and him on the grid. So we have to work' From the mouth of man himself and you have people posting about Ducati and Suzuki 'unfair' advantage of softer tires. At least his head isn't in the sand, he's man enough to know that this is not the limit of Yamaha on a qualifying lap. Lorenzo on same bike has gone under the previous pole record lap on 4 tracks so there is a room for improvement. He needs a better strategy in qualifying too, either go out early or after everyone has gone, he's usually packed between a hordes of satellite bikes in qualifying. Championship needs some spice, find something tomorrow Rossi!

MotoGP » MotoGP Catalunya - Race Results

A bit dull with not much happening in the race but a lot of crashes. 2 works Honda gone down again, at least Pedrosa made the podium, so happy for him after a difficult 3 months. Congrats to Lorenzo, 4 victories in a row don't come easy and in all of them he has beeen in complete control. Rossi again displaying fantastic race pace, there is absolutely nothing between them. Grid places are sabotaging Rossi chance to go with Lorenzo at the front but after today he'll be happy, at least Lorenzo didn't cruise to victory he made him work hard towards the end. If only he can do it from beginning. Next up Assen, typical Yamaha track if there was one. Rossi has to strike back.

MotoGP » Rossi: Yamaha, Honda, Ducati almost at same level

Well there isn't much between them over a single lap but over a race distance, Yamaha certainly are better. Ducati drop a wee bit towards the end while that front of Honda wants to fold after 10 laps. To be fair to Yamaha they deserve this success because they have been very patient in bringing along their full seamless and also built a bike that is extremely fuel efficient. For Rossi, he has to be on their level during qualifying to score 25 points because on Sunday his race pace will be up there. If he messes up qualifying again not only he will lose time early on but while charging through he also uses up extra tyre which means towards the end his pace drops a little. Catalunya 2014 was best race of the season imo and hope this one again is a cracker!

MotoGP » Marquez: We have a lot of work to do

PominOz: And I think this will again be his downfall. The thing that won him the Championship in his rookie year will be the very thing that will be his undoing this year - an unshakeable self-belief. This year's Honda is a dog compared to the last two years', yet everytime he throws a leg over it, he goes out with the same "do or die" attitude that won him his titles. It's highly commendable - the man is insanely talented, I don't think anyone is denying that. But this Honda wants to chew him up and spit him out, and I think his bravery is going to see him land a few more DNF's this year. I'm not saying he shouldn't ride his hardest - he's young, talented and incredibly driven. But this year, MM is better than his bike, and unless he is able to swallow that and settle for some 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, he's going to get hurt. I'm not a Honda fan but I'd hate to see MM badly injured.
So much truth! Fantastic post Sir.
