MotoGP » Drama as Rossi takes down Marquez!

Still in dis-belief that actually happened, Rossi's comments have backfired. He's been too worked up about MM and it has cost him very dearly, not only this championship but also tainted his huge legacy. If there were doubts about MM playing in Australia, can you get any more solid evidence of MM only wanting to take on Rossi than today? It was personal, he was doing low 2 0s in FP and WUP and just didn't do anything to Dani or Lorenzo but was like a mad dog when it came to Rossi. If he was up front about not being innocent and don't want to be involved in the battle non sense, then it'd been okay but even yesterday he said he was going to do his own race but at least the mask has slipped up. I still have sympathy for MM, no rider deserves to be taken out by another in that fashion.

MotoGP » Malaysian MotoGP - Race Day LIVE!

I can't believe what I've just seen, it was obvious Marquez didn't want to fight Lorenzo. He was waiting for Rossi, and Rossi took the bait. He snapped and kicked him down. No matter how you spin it, that just can't be justified. The man who was broke so many just broke down himself. I can't see anything but a DQ and what has been a great championship has reached a huge anti-climax.

MotoGP » Marquez explains Lorenzo ‘tow’

Whatever, people will believe what they want to believe and yes actions do speak louder than words. For me personally, when I watched the presser on Thursday I could see visibly Marquez was shocked and embarrassed when it all came out and when he said he doesn't want to be involved and be a spoiler in this fight for championship I believed him but last thing you can do after immense sh*t storm caused over last 2 days is again play around 2 title contenders. But he's done just that when he could've simply avoided it. @Garcia. Hector Barbera is NOT one of the four aliens who stand a chance at winning. Usually all four try to avoid giving anyone a tow but as long as it's not the other 3 they carry on and I've seen countless times where four of them have aborted their lap when another alien is behind them. Marquez has done it number of times himself but not today.

MotoGP » Rossi: I hope everyone does their own race

My oh my, are people actually suggesting Rossi is AFRAID of fight? Valentino Rossi? I've been watching this sport for a very long time and I've never seen a rider who thrives more in a head to head duel than Rossi. You can throw many accusations at him but one you can't throw is that Rossi is afraid of a battle. Earlier in the season, in many races Lorenzo and Marquez were ahead of Rossi did he whine about being unable to fight with them? He accepted he is not as fast them. Rossi's irritation is more due to the fact he couldn't fight with Lorenzo in Australia when he had the pace to do so and he believes he was denied that opportunity deliberately by Marquez so that's why he is saying do your own race meaning if you're faster than me then clear off but don't slow down deliberately for a scrap.

MotoGP » Pedrosa pole, Rossi front row

Intriguing session and day overall. Dani again showing why Repsol Honda keep re-signing him. Not very often do you see a rider clear by almost half a second ahead of field in qualifying. If Marquez has another 'unusual' pace like Phillip Island tomorrow he won't be able to reel Pedrosa because he can run away due to his better pace. Important session for Rossi too, after all that has been said and done it was important to not lose the context that it's still very much Lorenzo he has to beat and not Marquez. Lorenzo was also worked up if you saw him cussing inside his helmet as he rolled back into the pit. Re FP3 & Q2: Anyone who really believes Marc Marquez is playing innocent and wants nothing to do with this battle should look at end of FP3 and start of Q2. He's doing exactly what Rossi said, 'playing' with him. If FP3 was who blinks first, how do you sum up start of Q2? Time and time again top 4 riders have said they close gas if they see another alien behind them but Marquez knew

MotoGP » Marquez mystified by Rossi attack

Can't defend Rossi for his comments in press conference but these comments 'I wanted him to win but not now as he is acting like a spoilt child' 'I have lost respect for him'? Lorenzo hasn't acted like one every time he's lost out? Give me a break, desperate times call for desperate measures and deep down he knows it too. Before Thursday, what Marc Marquez did was of little relevance to others apart from Honda, Marc Marquez and his fans but after Rossi's comments whatever he does will be seen in the light of the championship, if that is a good thing or not we shall know soon enough but don't serve up this I have lost respect for him BS, Rossi has provided enough ammo for others to stick it to him and if this forum is anything to go by, no one is letting him down in that regard.

MotoGP » Marquez mystified by Rossi attack

Husky93:Those slow laps must have been the ones when MM was 4th holding up Rossi from behind
Why be so deliberately obtuse? There is a chart in this very article but I'll spill it out to you anyway as you can't really understand where MM slowed down. It happened on Lap 6, 12, 19-22 and 25. Lap 6 and 12 were slow to due to scrap between him and VR and AI and another was a mistake from MM on turn 8. Where MM really capped Rossi was the 2nd time he reeled in Lorenzo where his pace dropped by 4 tenths to what he put six laps in a row to reel Lorenzo in first place. For the record, I don't think it was intentional from MM. He simply wanted to chase Lorenzo on his own as Rossi had pace and stuck to his tail all race, so he wanted Iannone back in the mix so that he can duke it out with Rossi leaving MM just to pass Lorenzo.
