MotoGP » Ten to one for undefeated Marquez at Le Mans

ducfer: Stellar, Hardly any relevance those statistics when Rossi is missing the braking point instead of being ready to fight.
You're just running is circles. Yesterday you yourself predicted that Rossi's qualifying position was a false dawn and he'd be brought down to earth today. Race told us a whole different story though. I've no idea what you're trying to achieve here? Missing a braking point, forcing another rider into a mistake is all part of GP. He wants more than anyone of us to dice with Marquez, but a lot needs to fall in places for him to beat Marc. You're trying to put a negative spin on it when its anything but. There's no shame in losing to MM at the moment, he's riding on a different level. He can offer much much more than anyone else on the grid due to combination of confidence, form, bike and most importantly skill.

MotoGP » Jorge Lorenzo: 'It happens'

I still believe he has far too much on the table and his head, he needs to take a clean break from the press, forums, social media and juts use the week to gather himself. He is showing glimpse of consistency in the practice sessions but its not coming together in the race. Also, he keeps mentioning bike doesn't feel same as last year. Perhaps, he's trying to tell Yamaha to listen to him as they are deviating from his view of development. Will be interesting to see how this pans out. Sorting out his future in GP will help him massively, he needs to decide quick and be done with it. Dilemma only worsens the situation.

GSXER:
Stellar: Another Stoner comparison, dude he's gone.
I can understand the frustration of rossi fans after reading that name. But I hope, being a motogp fan you also know that CS is still involved in the development of Honda bikes.
Frustration? About what? He won 2 world championships in premier class when Stoner was racing after some of you lot predicted that Stoner is the new messiah and he'll wipe the floor with Rossi, didn't quite happen :) He's the only one out there who has had a stifle with Marc this season and is keeping up pace with other aliens after being written off by everyone else. Rossi fans are just happy to see him fight at the sharp front, his legacy is cemented forever whether he wins another world championship or not is irrelevant in that regards.

MotoGP » Rossi 'Lorenzo frustrated', Marquez 'fun is faster'

I'm a big fan of Rossi but there's no way he's winning in Mugello. For him bigger problem than Honda having an edge over Yamaha is MM, he has more in his reservoir than anyone else plus his raw pace is absolutely unreal. Today, MM didn't have to dice with anyone for long and you can say it was bit easy that two of the tougher rider on the grid to pass both made mistakes. Despite running wide numerous time he still recovered to make the moves, then open the gap at the front and in the end had the time to do Titanic celebration on the race line. Yamaha need to bring some major changes for their riders to have even 10 percent of a chance at beating MM because at the moment it is nil. ProfessorX, its always very amusing to read your comments. Please do not stop posting :)

MotoGP » Rossi 'Lorenzo frustrated', Marquez 'fun is faster'

@FATE I feel sorry for you that you took up so much effort to dig up quotes but you're only telling us what we already know. I've posted in regards to this matter but Rossi had his reasons for quitting. Also, I've no idea how you can read into his comments and say he blocked Stoner's move. He was asked his opinion. Back in 2012, when Rossi was linked with a move to Honda. Casey Stoner said Honda shouldn't look into past results and build for the future in a young talent. Again it was an opinion, no need to read between the lines.

MotoGP » Rossi 'Lorenzo frustrated', Marquez 'fun is faster'

Cont.. When contract talks started later that year, Yamaha asked Rossi to take a pay cut so they could pay JLo (Lorenzo was on course for title that year) Yamaha never signed Lorenzo 'behind his back', they picked JLo over him and which Rossi in his own words has admitted numerous times that it was 'justified' Your story is running altogether different elements which few people still continue to believe in. Its basically nothing but conjecture.

MotoGP » Rossi 'Lorenzo frustrated', Marquez 'fun is faster'

FATE: Rossi's contract had a clause that his team mates could not get new parts which is the reason Lorenzo almost killed himself pushing a satellite bike in factory clothing, once he got the parts he mopped the floor with Rossi. Rossi also blocked Stoner from joining Yamaha and then Yamaha went around his back and hired Lorenzo which eventually forced Rossi to quit to Ducati where he adapted exceptionally well. This is a well known beat to death published topic.
So... how do you know that? Did you ask JLo himself? If you had read his book 'King of MotoGP' you'd know he clarified there was nothing like it and that both were on equal machinery and equal equipment. The reason Rossi quit Yamaha was simple, they clubbed him with a strong teammate which he interpreted as loss of confidence in him by Yamaha. (Yamaha had gone 2 years without a title when this happened) Rossi won back 2 back titles and in the early part of next season he broke his leg.

ducfer: Stellar, Not trying to achive anything.Just stating the facts.Present facts. What have past statistics to do when Marquez/Honda are on a different level?Rossi did a mistake when less needed, that hard to accept?Or anything short of worship isn't enough?Right. Btw...if Marquez didn't put him down to earth today, nobody did.In fact he put everybody. Over.
If you're talking about facts. The fact is Rossi got a good result today, yes he was beaten by Marc but like I said given the circumstances 2nd is best he could hope for. Don't force your views as if its opinion of others too, mistakes are a part of racing. It happens and its acceptable. I've repeated it twice in previous posts. If anyone has been brought down to earth, its JLo and not Rossi. Maybe you could accept that your prediction yesterday was wayward.
