MotoGP » Fast fall doesn’t slow Spies

Again, it's more of a personal issue on your behalf as to why you cannot see plain fact. If you're going to rubbish what I say, then back yourself up. Why is Ben made to be the exception compared to other riders who have failed at the top level? What drives you to come up with excuses which are, in all irony, baseless? Again, reading into things that aren't there. I never implied that Ben lacked any talent whatsoever, I'm saying that he lacks the talent to ride like he should do if he is wanting to stay on a factory Yamaha next year. Two different things.

@Realist Your problem is a personal one - you can't accept the fact that maybe Ben isn't as talented as you thought he was, and the reason he is struggling is that he doesn't have enough of it. It's just a sad fact. What's happening to Ben right now is nothing new, many promising riders have come and failed, especially Superbike riders

@Rocket1 the World Superbike Championship in his rookie year. Schwantz would've possibly challenged for the championship earlier on in his GP career if he wasn't crashing everyday of the week along with bad luck. Wayne Rainey started off steady in 1988 (got his first win in the process), challenged for the championship in 1989 and stormed to it in 1990. Right now Ben is in his third year, and it's clear that he he hasn't really made the transition like Wayne did all those years ago. In my opinion he should be challenging for the title right now, nothing less.

@Rocket1 Here's your problem and what a lot of fanboys of riders (particularly Rossi fanboys) have: Living in the past. Everyone knows Spies won at Assen last year, everyone and their dog knows Rossi was a nine times world champion, yet they're struggling NOW, in the present. This is the problem fanboys have, they equate success to talent when it comes to their favorite riders. The difference between Spies and Rossi in terms of success in MotoGP is of course as big as it gets, 105 wins and 9 championships to 1 win and 0 championships. Even if you ignore that, Rossi is clearly far more talented than Spies from being able to win consistently on the Yamaha alone. You're wrong about Spies being the only rider to win on an 800cc outside of the aliens, you forget Vermeulen, Capirossi and Dovizioso. Of course, all four of them could only win in unusual conditions, this is clear as they only won a single race each. He, you mean Ben Spies right? Not knowing tracks didn't stop him from winnin

@RocketR1 why do you let ME bother YOU is the real question. what do you think I'm doing to Ben? Putting a hex on his family? stop complaining. @Realist Well think about it, how many factory riders are there? Six. Of the six, which riders are not considered aliens or have never previously had alien status? Is it really that hard to figure out? Obviously, if you want to get into unnecessary semantics, when I say that Ben can't ride the Yamaha, I mean that he cannot ride it to its limit. Proof? Look at how badly he's getting his rear kicked by the other Yamaha riders. Your name is the definition of irony when it comes to what you say. Face the facts, it's either lack of talent or being too stubborn to want to ride a different way that is causing him to struggle. You should change your name to Wishful Thinking, it would suit you better I think. Here's a wishful thought that will comfort you: Lin Jarvis is secretly sabotaging Ben's bikes in an effort to get rid of him because he has

@ Realist lol, the argument against my argument holds no water, more like! it's no coincidence that the two least talented factory riders are both Superbike veterans. you're just mad that I'm right. oh, and using winter testing is a little stupid, seeing as how Rossi was much quicker in winter testing also! i also remember suzuki looking impressive during winter testing, only to fail when everyone started pushing when the season actually starts...lol
