MotoGP » Miller to join Crutchlow at LCR?

JedPB67:
cbrbamby: I'm not saying he shouldn't get this chance, I'm just curious why there is so much effort to take him off a little moto3 bike and on to a high powered prototype. We've seen plenty of good racing from the Ktm over the years so,,,I dunno.
He's going to GP's because Dorna need to secure the Australian TV contract for next year, what better way to do it than by having an Aussie in MotoGP, it's just ridiculous that they're putting Miller on the fast track quite simply because of his nationality. Dorna frequently pay teams to take these riders for their business need and interest. Look at LCR in 2011, they didn't want Toni Elias but Dorna paid them to take him as he was Moto2 champ.
Australia has a tiny market that can barely fund a national roadracing series. Miller will not be getting a ride because of aussie dollars.

Realist:
Firefly: If he goes there his carreer is doomed. Let's see how he gets on on a Moto2 bike, he's not even Moto3 champion yet.
I have been asking myself the same question. Why such a huge push for Miller? It must be a slap in the proverbial face to the Moto2 guys who have come up the ranks and ACTUALLY accomplished something.
Like who? Because we all know getting a seat (without daddies money) usually revolves around 'fairness' rather than talent. He is leading Moto 3 and could be further ahead if not for some silly mistakes. I would take the opinion of team owners about his abilities over your worthless drivel. Weren't you that guy who claimed stoner was rubbish and his speed was all because of the bike. I see the quality of you opinions haven't improved over time.

MotoGP » Red Bull increases Honda backing

TedG:
RSMick: Show us the evidence then Mr G
That would take the form of the last 2 riders that jumped on the Repsol Honda and ran away with the championship. Pretty good evidence.
if the rider was any random monkey from the population, then it might be considered evidenced, depending if the control variables are adequately modelled. If the two riders are some of the most talented and successful riders in MotoGP's recent history, then, NO it is not evidenced. EDIT by CRASH.NET: Poster attack removed.

MotoGP » Moto3: Miller marks himself ‘five out of ten’

Nikeros: I'm glad Miller is in Moto3. Until he arrived on the scene there was no one in the class that I disliked. A viewer needs a rider to scream at and scorn. Thanks for filling the bill so completely, Jacky.
Why, exactly? Let me guess... because he is not spanish or italian? And who are you, a nobody, to pour scorn on a rider leading a world championship?

Ausrossi: V4 et al, actually I am Australian and could not stand Stoner, spoilt brat as far as I was concerned and have always felt that while an amazing rider some of his prowess stems from being in the right place at the right time. As for Miller sorry different kettle of fish, no whingeing just yeah I stuffed few races and so I mark myself down. Plus while not a media darling certainly knows that simply refusing to deal with the media is going to win you no friends.
How was Stoner a spoilt brat? Everything he was given was because he had talent. Fine, you don't like him because he beat Rossi head to head despite spending the majority of time on that crap Ducati, but to say that he is spoilt is more an indication about your fanboi character than of Stoner being given things he did not deserve.

mrfill:
WylieCoyote: They will stick Miller on a MotoGP bike and see how he goes before signing him up for a season. People with far more knowledge than Crash.net keyboard experts will watch and judge. The people who weigh up the pros and cons of putting him on a seat that costs millions of dollars a season just to get on the track are professionals who do it for a living.
And the rider with the huge sack of money provides that living. 100 million and I could probably get my Mum into a motogp seat :)
The best riders attract the best sponsors. Miller certainly isn't getting any funding because of his nationality.

MotoGP » Red Bull increases Honda backing

Peter Light: Back on the Redbull thing. I would love to know how much they spend on sponsorship in all sports across the world. With 2 F1 teams, just about every extreme sport in the world and the massive number of sportsmen and women with personnal sponsorship it muct be hunderds of millions. Anyone know a rough figure?
I was watching a BBC doco , 'Secrets of the superbrands' or something like that and they had an ex senior exec from Red Bull UK who said they put 70% of revenue back into marketing. So, truckloads then.
