MotoGP » Safety officer Capirossi weighs in on MotoGP tyres

I think the use of a recent motogp rider to assess the tires is a good one. My question is this... what bike will Caparossi be using to assess the appropriateness or otherwise of the tires? There have been claims that one of the factors in Ducati's poor performance in 2011 was due to the tire development suiting the beam frame set up of Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki more than the engine-as-stressed-member design of the Ducati. Could his selections be coloured by the bike that he tests the tires on? Will the bike be a factory spec prototype, CRT design or a production bike? Who will supply the test bikes? It will be interesting to see the actual mechanics of the test procedure.
