MotoGP » Rossi mistake ends Marquez victory battle

alol: Two more laps and Bautista would have beaten Rossi
Rubbish. MM and VR were managing their leads for the last couple of laps. Anyway "would have" is not the same as history. Besides Rossi nailed Bautista in almost every scrap they had last year even though he was having problems with the Yamaha. Bautista is the new "pretty boy" who has replaced De Puniet. Both fast but both crashers.

MotoGP » 'Big disaster' averted, Rossi ready to fight

Realist: Rossi....get on that podium.
Should you not be saying, Rossi get on the top step and win ? I'm sure thats what he would like. I'm sure a 9 times world champ would only be racing for a win not just a podium.
Sure, I COULD say that, but I'm being realistic here (and I'm a diehard VR fan, and if it were up to me he'd win every year.....or at least take a 10th title). MM will VERY LIKELY take this race too. I just want VR on the podium (at the very least) ahead of JL and DP.
Look at the bigger picture, what good is Rossi doing to the sport by the odd podium and the very odd win. 3 wins in the last 4 years ?
Not surprising considering how the Ducati is going now... Lots of rules have been bent to keep the Ducati mid pack. As it turns out what Rossi said about Ducati was 100% correct. If the Ducati cannot compete with the Suzuki´s then the death knell will have to be rung. In other words that´s the time to leave motogp or settle for fighting with the sattelite teams. Anyway as of now VR is the top Yamaha and has kept his nerv while being argueably under more pressure to perform than anyone else. Pretty good effort. Especially considering only 1 man is winning this year and it looks like it will still be the case at the end of the race tomorrow. I think some posters need to be carefull when they are scratching their ears that they don´t go too deep and perform a labotomy... :-)

MotoGP » Crutchlow: Q1 is the worst thing for a racer

Next victim (rider). I think Cal needs a reality check. After Stoner´s and Rossi´s comment over the years what did he expect? Not to mention the absoloute importance of out bidding all others to get the best ecu programmers in order to perform at the sharp end. To out bid the manufacturer needs mega bucks. Only Honda/Repsol and Yamaha/Moviestar have those dollars. So they get the best talent and perform the best. Seems pretty simple to me. I think Cal may have been seeing dollar signs in front of his eyes when the Ducati offer came to ride for them.
