F1 » Promoters will walk away over sound ‘disgrace’

It used to be that 100% of spectators at F1 races had earplugs stuck in their ears the moment the cars appeared on track. Fans were plunged into a world of silence where they could not hear the cars, the commentary, or the people at the side of them. So I am at a loss to understand the complaints that the cars are now too quiet. If it means that you are now able to hear the cars without having to stuff pieces of plastic into your ears and can hear the commentary surely that is a better position to be in.

MotoGP » Official: MotoGP to BT Sport in new UK TV deal

Broadcasting is in flux. Satalite broadcasting from Sky was a game changer and now digital broadcasting from BT vision (and there will be others entering the market) will create further chaos. But this chaos has to happen. The biggest change however will be to the BBC. The traditional licence fee is no longer viable. I'm afraid that for some time we will have to put up with some chaos.

MotoGP » Rossi stars at Monza Rally

Stop this nonesense that Rossi was just 3/10th's of F1 pace. Utter rubbish. If he was even remotely competitive he would be in F1 now and not in a class of motorsport that has little or no money. You think MotoGP has money and is significant: Just look at the little known sponsors that are involved. Dewault tools? Visit Spain? Bwin?

F1 » Hamilton: missed lap 'was my mistake'

Please explain when is comes to the Q3 shoot out, why most drivers leave it to the last moment to go out on track for their 2nd and final attempt? For the life of I can't understand why they sit in the pits looking at their monitors of an empty track then all leave their boxes at the last second. They always end up falling over each other and comprimising thier runs. Why not just do your two runs as quickly as you can but without going out at the same time as the others.

MotoGP » Ducati: No 1000cc test at Brno

Rossi can't go to any other team. No team will pay his inflated salary demands, especially after his performance this year. His only option is to stay with Ducati and hope for the best. Burgess is probably on his way out. He is an old fashioned mechanic who works on instinct. That aproach is redundant. Time for him to go back to Australia and enjoy his retirement.

F1 » BBC, Sky Sports in joint F1 TV deal from 2012

Quite pathetic postings. I can remember similar protests when the Premiership went to Sky. 'It's the end of football' the plebs shouted. It wasn't. F1 moving to Sky will not be the end of the Grand Prix racing either. F1 will just get stronger. If you can't afford Sky you still get to watch all the races. Yes some will be a highlights package but is that a bad thing? Rather than protesting about this news you should protest about the BBC in general. Paying a license fee is just wrong. The death of the BBC can't come quick enough.
