F1 » Ferrari power unit unveiled

slightlysideways: I was expecting that to be so much more exciting, looks no more fascinating than a lawn mower engine
What where you expecting, a tyrannosaurus rex with dancing girls and a fairground wheel? You might find that some people are interested by what's inside it rather than what it looks like.
Oooohh!!! - Where can I see the tyrannosaurus rex with dancing girls and a fairground wheel?

F1 » Pirelli: Rosberg tyre won’t be used again

benignlyindifferent: This is very strange. Earlier tire failures occurred partly because teams under inflated or ran tires on opposite sides of the car, placing to much strain on the carcass. Pirelli subsequently reverted to an older and safer construction. But this failure would have occurred with Mercedes running Pirelli's exact inflation recommendations. Something is amiss in the R & D department.
Unfortunately laboratory test can never fully replicate the tyre being on a racing car going round a circuit. Of course they never want a new design to blow out but this opportunity of testing real tyres on a competitive car has got to be better than previously. Can't have been nice for Rosberg but this type of testing is crucial to making the racing as safe as possible and to get a tyre that does what it says on the tin.

F1 » Sutil: Why was Maldonado so close to me?

Simples!!! He was so close to you because you moved to the left thereby hitting him whilst he continued on his original line. Don't like Maldonado but equally I don't like people who try to blame someone else for their own indiscretions. I would expect a decent driver, on reviewing the video evidence, to retract his comments and issue an apology. I await with baited breath!
