MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: We can be very fast at Jerez

It's pretty hard to discredit a rider who gets a good start, maintains their pace and pulls off the win, but I do find those types of race finishes a little less exciting than those where battles are fought. Vale has proven dozens of times that he is the most eager & capable battle seasoned rider currently in the paddock. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't been watching. His moves may be controversial at times, but he doesn't have the ability to let an opportunity to pass go by if there's any chance it'll stick!

MotoGP » Puig reacts to Schwantz’s Pedrosa comments

When is Dani's contract up? If Marc finishes ahead of Dani, he may still have one or two more years left on the squad. HRC know they have the future with Marc & Dani will start to be phased over to their clear #2 rider. However, there is a benefit to a team mate who is capable of beating the other teams competition, but not the teams #1. The manufacturers & team championships are also something HRC desire.

I don't like the term "legend", esp when used as a noun. Here's the definition: Noun A traditional story sometimes popularly regarded as historical but unauthenticated. Adjective Very well known: "his speed was legend". Synonyms fable - story - tale - inscription - myth. The key being "historical", but "not authenticated". Folks opinions are like a$$holes, & often times they stink. Lol!

8 years on a factory bike is a long time indeed, but look at the number of podiums and wins. His numbers far surpass Nicky's. Don't get me wrong, as I'm American & always root for Nick, Colin & Ben. It's also true that a title is something much easier to remember, but I won't ever forget how good a rider Dani is, and that's all that I personally care about. Also, I'd like to see what he could do on another make. He's a decent guy & hope to watch him for many years to come.

MotoGP » Austin MotoGP: CRT tyre debut 'overwhelmingly positive'

Thanks Coffee. The article also mentioned the possibility of the inclusion of a chassis. With an M1 engine and a decent chassis, these bikes may prove to be more capable than the budget-based engine in the HRC Production Racer, no? At any rate, next season looks to be as exciting as this years, given riders like Pol & Redding may be here! I wonder what will happen with Nicky next year.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: Everything came together for Marquez

Lorenzo is prob the smartest rider in the field. Knowing when to push & when to know your betters is crucial over a long season. People tend to remember Championship Winners before than they can recall each individual race result. Nicky, for example, may have only ever won a few races, but he's got one thing that multi-race winner Dani hasn't got BTW, I would like nothing more than to see him do it!!

Jorge is so mentally strong, that being his edge over his fellow countrymen. I love Vale, but the youth & skill of his 3 Spanish counterparts will be very hard to deal with. Him being 14 years Marc's senior. He should not be at all ashamed of finishing behind him or Jorge. His bare minimum should be 4th. Anything less should be considered failure.

MotoGP » Ben Spies to miss Spanish MotoGP

I think he may miss racing back home in the USA. He's clearly stated he doesn't enjoy flying, preferring to travel by RV. Sure, the $ in GP is much greater, but I think he'd do ok back here as well. I don't know for sure, but I've heard European SBK doesn't pay unless your at the tip-top & the AMA can be profitable for the little guy even. I miss watchin the AMA with Matt, Ben, Miguel, E-Boz & B-Boz, the Haydens and Yates, even though Aaron scuttled the championship for Eric @ Laguna many years ago. Ahhh, Memories!!
