MotoGP » Go backstage for a photo shoot with Rossi

Rossi will sell bikes in western europe, australia and maybe indonesia, yamaha started to market jorge in indonesia even before Rossi's departure from the team. The domestic superbike series in the states needs an overhaul if they really want to penetrate that market. The hardcore riders are the only ones who care about MotoGp or superbike. normal people never turn it on when they watch tv. And when they do cover it, they flood it with commercial breaks every 5-7 minutes and you usually miss all the big moments of the race. So even if by chance someone was watching they will be totally put off by the sorry assed coverage. I like the spanish coverage the way they keep a small window open during advertisements so you can see the race live. They need to keep throwing **** against the wall util they find something that sticks. If that is not Rossi, then try someone else, or something else.

MotoGP » Go backstage for a photo shoot with Rossi

@TedG When Rossi was in Times Square a few years ago(video on Moto )nobody knew who he was at all. His fans are around the globe, but perhaps other riders will attract more media attention in different markets. Nascar rules the roost and while Rossi has fans in the states he is no media magnet there. MotoGP and motorcycling sees the USA as its primary market for sales of sportbikes and a visit to New York City put that into perspective.I was a hardcore Rossi fan before but the new guys have grown on me. You have to admire their raw speed. Jorge seems the strongest one to me(mentally in a fight). Ben Spies has the mentality to fight it out. Rossi isn't washed up yet but that red bike could be the grim reaper coming to take his career.Bad choice by him.

MotoGP » Jorge Lorenzo replica – get yours now!

Rossi lost on equal kit last year. He won 7 motogp a 125 and a 250 title so he is a 9 time WC. Jorge has two 250 titles. Dani has a 125 and two 250 titles(3 WC). Jorge, Casey and Nicky all have Motogp titles. So that makes Jorge a 3 time WC at 23 years old. If the Yamaha stays on top that 9 is not that far away. But the class is uber competitive now not like 2002 when rossi was on 1 of the four 4stroke bikes most of the year against a bunch of 500's lapping the field up to 7th place. Rossi will now retire as an also ran because he ran away from Yamaha where he could have at least won a few races this year to Ducrappy where he will finish behind His teammate and RdP. Nice Special Edition bike.

MotoGP » Dani Pedrosa: Rossi is Rossi…

Well stated last 2 comment by muncher and Southerner! Nicky is biting his tongue at the moment but when he said it would be tough having Valentino as a teammate he wasn't referring to how much better than him Rossi was, we can assume whatever we want in that loaded statement. Can't wait to see the toys flying out of the pram in a few months.
