MotoGP » Dovi helps convince Yamaha to be Yamaha?

A lot of weird opinions saying the M1 was copied from the RC211v. Where? the upside down swingarm? Inline 4 cylinder engine? Short Wheelbase? sweet handling? That was Rossi's first comment when he rode it(Our bike turns good!Is well bike!)Journalists said it felt like an R1. The R1 was released in 1998 while they were still racing 500's (a V4 by the way)and 750cc in sbk.no rc211 existed. The honda ended up with an upside down swingarm in 2009. is that copying? JB never designed a bike and for sure he never rode the nsr rc211 or m1 he just makes adjustments to it. you don't ask the guy that changes your oil to redesign your chassis and engine package do you?also the previous rules allowedd a 5 cylinder to race at the same weight as a 4.and in 2005 the yamaha dominated the v5 with horsepower and smooth acceleration

MotoGP » Yamaha developing 'next generation' MotoGP electronics

@motomoto The yamaha turns better than anything out there bro. You go through turns 15 or 16 times a lap you only go straight more than a few hundred meters once a lap. If you can't get it turned it doesn't matter about the top speed. see Melandri on the ducati for example, or capirossi, barros, canepa, hoffman, kallio, espargaro, hayden etc. Also prior to Lorenzo's arrival Rossi had a no equal equipment clause in his contract to prevent bikes and tires(quality of prior to the switch to Bridgestones when Lorenzo was still on Michelin's) from being the same for his teammate. His teammate would also be the test mule first and if it worked they wouls take it off his bike and give it to Rossi. Why do you think Colin would be fast in practice and quali then struggle in the races. Lorenzo started winning before that and used a big offer from ducati to get yamaha to cave on his demands.

MotoGP » Factory 'red lines' for MotoGP 2013...

Question: When was there ever a 4 way or 5 way battle for the championship because i sure as hell can't remember that ever being the case? The "show" is talk for rossi winning again. if i thought all the bikes were the same would i buy one? They shouldn't change the rules for Ducati and perhaps the crt should be able to lease engines like kr did in 06 that will close the gap. maybe ducati should have asked kr's team to design their chassis. That thing was on the podium and the front row a few times.

I keep reading all this Stoner just whacks the throttle open and the bike does everything for him, then how does he drift the bike so much if its not rider feel, or only Rossi can do that, also Stoner was not honda number 1 coming into last season Dani was. The Rc211v had electronics on it from the get-go. The 2003 had TC. The 2004 M1 had magnetti marelli on it. Electronics or not Rossi will never win again guys. Keep lying to yourselves. Rossi was the first rider to use it and has the most experience with it. Also the 990's were 148kg and the 800's were 153kg, tires and systems have come a long way but the bikes are by no means a video game.

F1 » Ecclestone: Money not behind Bahrain

oil prices are controlled by the stock market casino. The oil companies are making record profits every quarter and it has nothing to do with taxes but moreso a lack of regulation. There is no less oil available than there was 10 years ago. Believe it if you want to. I wish they would regulate energy to prevent inflation by monopolies and switch all motor vehicles to electricity.Bahrain's political problems stem from religious intolerance toward Shia muslims. I think the event will be safe having spent several years living in the gulf(its not Iraq). Local politics are not Bernie's business. As much as I don't like the guy,and know that he's lying the race should go on.

MotoGP » MotoGP weight debate rumbles on

@ realfan but the bikes were already complete so that is the most expensive thing you can do. how can you leave that out? that was the whole point of the debate. they could have done that at brno last year and i would agree with you. you repeated what i already said about rider weight like it was your statement.

MotoGP » MotoGP weight debate rumbles on

@ dacron I suppose you are correct about the M1 and the rc213v ones strength cancels out the other's advantage handling vs. engine and yamaha seem to have cured the chatter problem as well. @ realfan how is designing a whole new bike after you already completed one cheaper for anyone regardless of resources available. It only benefited the crt teams and ducati until u can prove otherwise.Heavier riders tend to do better on the brakes than smaller ones so that gap comes right back until u can prove otherwise on that.
