MotoGP » Ellison aims for improvement at Jerez

Considering he'd not raced a Supersport since 2002 IIRC, I think he did pretty good toward the end of the year. He gave SorryMate their first ever podium in BSB in the same season. As I've said before, he's got a lot of experience which is precisely what PBM want. They don't need a young charger throwing it at the scenery every race. What would they learn from that!?! James is fast and can help them develop the bike.

MotoGP » Ellison: Like riding on a knife edge

They look no more out of their depth than any of the other CRT teams. Yes James I wouldn't put James in the same league as those in the top 15 but he's got a lot of motorcycle racing experience including MotoGP. He's also capable of putting in good performances. He's there to provide as much feedback to PBM as possible and develop a bike capable of challenging other CRTs and hopefully satellite prototypes. For this year this is much preferable to some young charger who's going to throw it at the air fence at every given opportunity.

re: ZAK, I think you're the only one getting hysterical. Everyone else who's replied is being realistic. We know this year is going to be hard for James and especially the first race since the PBM had the least testing out of all the teams. All we're saying is, well done for not throwing it at the wall during the race and it's promising that his times were improving consistently... i.e. that's exactly what his job was for the weekend, finish the race and learn as much as possible for the next round.
