MotoGP » Four teams to run control ECU in MotoGP 2013

@cassyo - you read it wrong. The ECU is compulsory for everyone including Honda from 2014. If a team decides to keep their own software on the control ECU from 2014 then they will face the penalty. As it stands no matter what Honda will not be allowed to use their own hardware. It all seems like another load of complicated interfering. I am just glad I saw GP racing in its hey day when the bikes really were prototypes and we got to see something unsanitised by a commercial committee.

BSB » Smrz, Aitchison re-sign with Splitlath Aprilia

I am as big fan of Kuba as anyone and being here in Czech Republic I am pleased to see a local lad in one of the better domestic series, even if it is a big step down from the world stage. However Kuba needs to show again that he can actually race. He can and does stick in some blinding qualifying performances but far too often falls away in the actual race situation. He is a great rider and I really hope that he can use this as a platform to get back into the top level. He still has time on his side.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: Difficult memories

Jorge went well up in my and I am sure many other's estimations, by the way he showed his true humility and decency as a human being at and after Marco's death. Attending the funeral was the true mark of the man, along with his gracious and respectful comments afterwards. Given the public confrontations the two of them had been involved in, it was the sign of a big man.

MotoGP » Abraham: I'm upset I couldn't match Rossi

You lot are a bunch to losers - Abraham deserves that seat in Moto GP as much as many who are out there. The guy is a damn good rider and not a single one of you who write this bile could hold a candle to the guy on a bike on any level. Yes his Dad has money which is a) hardly his fault b) good for him c) far from unique in the Moto GP paddock as the vast majority of riders there are so because of huge sacrifice by family.

MotoGP » Abraham leads another 'lost session' at Misano

@chooch. Having met they guy I can confirm that you are right, Karel Abraham is a nice guy but I disagree with your analysis of him. He deserves to be in Moto GP as much as anyone. Remember last year when as a rookie he was competing with Cal for rookie of the year and so many people were wetting themselves over Crutchlow? Abaja was taking the challenge right down to the wire on a vastly inferior bike to Cal's. It pains me to say it being a dyed in the wool Ducati customer and fan but they have spectacularly failed to deliver any kind of a machine and indeed gone backwards. I suspect that next year however they will do a lot better. People so unfairly bang on about Karels' Dad and his money, as if it is either his fault or ignoring the fact that 99% of all racers come from backgrounds where there parents sacrifice everything to get them there. Anyway the bottom line is that Mr Abraham Snr's cash has put another rider on the grid, team in the paddock and a platform for a real talent.

MotoGP » Pedrosa pole in incident-packed Indy qualifying

I am sorry but that comment about the alleged smile of one of the Yamahe pit crew at Casey's crash is just crass. How on earth anyone can have any idea what the guy was looking at or what he was talking about to someone or anything else at the time of the crash is impossible to tell. I do not believe any of the people in the paddock from any team would take any joy, on any level, of any rider crashing. It is beyond me why people take the time to bother airing such meaningless and completely unsubstantial views.

MotoGP » Can MotoGP ever crack the USA?

So shamarone what you are saying is that our American friends like excitement and the rest of us put up with dull pastimes? Certainly comes across that way and if that is the case then they are the smart ones. Some of the anti American statements on here are just pure drivel and embarrassing. I can only assume they are made by people who have never been there let alone lived in it for a while to experience it. Americans are, in the main, no different to everyone else on the planet and given the amount of stupid, stereo-typical vitriol written on here it says more, perhaps about us in Europe than it does about them.
