MOTOGP » Stoner, Abraham argue at Mugello test

Here we go again - Abraham is only here because of his Dad. That is complete and utter rot. It may be funded by his old mans company but he still has to ride it and he is showing all the ignorant ******* this season that ride it he can. Stoner would not be in Moto GP if his parents had not sacrificed everything financially to get him through racing. Vale came from a privileged background where his family connections definitely opened doors. There are precious few riders whose family come from a sink hole council estate and can't make ends meet. Abraham tested the Ducati last year and the factory saw what he could do. His telemetry showed how well he can ride the bike and that is why they agreed to let Cardion AB have their bike. Of course they had to pay for it but Abaja is deservedly there and he has already shown this season that his place is merited.

MOTOGP » Crutchlow defends pull-in decision

Sorry but if you take the pay check then you do the job. I understand that Cal did not want to injure himself and do not wish him to do so. I do believe however he could have knocked it back a bit and still stayed on the race track. I am pretty sure he would have not finished last and thus picked up a couple of points. There are a lot of people who put a shed load of effort in to getting these guys on the grid, in effort, time and money. If he thought he could not do the job then he should have had the nerve to say so in advance, rather than come back too soon and a stand in rider, desperate for a chance, could have been out on the bike.

MOTOGP » Pedrosa: Simoncelli's head has nothing but hair

Oh Dani, Dani, Dani. Looks like you have also learned the art of whinging from the ego maniac that is your manager. You are a talented wee fella, no doubt but perhaps the Napoleon complex, as is so common in those of short stature, is getting hold of you. Not much stinks worse than the foul smell of hypocrisy and as is so often mentioned you seem to have forgotten when you took out Nicky Hayden. You really need to think long hard about trying to get into a slanging match with Marco S as you do not appear to have the character to be smart witted enough. Do you what you sometimes do well and just ride the bike, get over what happened and drop the "Cheese and Whine Party" routine.

MOTOGP » Stoner: Motivation difficult for Pedrosa

I fully sympathise with Pedrosa's situation. If however he is having trouble with motivation to get back out and do what millions of people around the world can only dream about having the chance of trying once, then it is time he gave the whole game up. I am no great fan of Dani's, though at the same time I wish him no ill. In this instance however I hope Stoner is talking absolute rubbish as I would hate to think that their are highly paid Moto GP riders who have lost site of what it actually is that they get to do with their lives.

MOTOGP » Six new MotoGP 2012 entries announced

I honestly think that this has to be about the most cynical place on the net. All those moaning are just incredible. I bet they are the ones who complained about small grids and gave the excellent Karel Abraham a good kicking before he too had turned a wheel. As for the comments about what we need is top teams etc. Are you guys on the wackky baccy or something? Suzuki has reduced its factory effort, Kawasaki has walked away, Kenny Roberts has gone all within the last few years. Do you think that the factories and more top riders are going to appear, along with a white rabbit from a special hat? I have no idea how it will work out but I welcome more bikes on the grid and quite frankly if there are more guys fighting for tenth place, providing good racing for that place, then what is the problem? Only in some kind of parallel universe are you going to find a magical supply of people over a close season who can all be fighting for podium places, week in, week out.

MOTOGP » 2011 MotoGP World Championship standings

Karel Abraham tenth in the standings and Cardion AB racing sixth in the constructor. So where the hell are all of those of you who were taking a pop at the kid before the season started? Don't start whining about its because others have fallen off or what ever. To finish first, first you have to finish. Even if he were not to score another point all season he would still have shown everyone that he deserves to be there and is more than worthy of his place. Go Abaja !!!

MOTOGP » Paris Hilton to attend Catalunya GP

In this instance perhaps I am like a dog with a bone - dude! Then again why not? Ignorant cynicism is worth challenging. It is unfortunately quite prevalent in Britain and as our American friend has pointed out the exposure that Paris Hilton is garnering for the series, over there, is huge and you can bet that then goes global. So there you go, news worthy. Is it any less worth while some glamour girl with loads of dosh getting exposure and sinking money in or a tobacco company doing the same, or a Bank, or a company who make generators or ? You can equally argue that none of them are any more relevant to motor sport. Just a pity that a bit of an interesting debate could not be entered into.

Fair enough - you can't justify the comment about being an unwelcome distraction. She is not sponsoring TT or BSB so that is irrelevant but you go and ask any of the teams in those two series if they would welcome her money if they could get it and I bet there are precious few who would not. It is obviously of some interest to you, as you read the bloody article and went to the bother of making a comment in the first place and then responding. Pity I was hoping for some kind of reasoned insight but none to be had.

It was not an insult - you obviously feel qualified to state what is newsworthy in media outlets, why so tetchy or was it another unsubstantiated comment? Don't believe anyone has stated that any other sponsor is not newsworthy? Would still like to hear the reasoning behind why this sponsor is an unwelcome distraction. I am open to persuasion if you can make a convincing reason why.
