BTCC » Plato calls for major rule rethink

To be fair the rules do seem a little odd in places, for example the Honda civic is probably one of the best chassis and as good as the BMW but Honda are forced by the series to run the lowest boost, less than the MG, even less still from the bmw and alot less than some of the others, there soooo slow on the straights its just stupid, the honda drivers must be tearing there hair out having cars just driver by them or constantly having to defend on the straights into next corner, if they had equal boost and straight line speed to the bmw then it would probably be a pretty good fight, the MG could do with smaller amount of straight line speed boost over BMW also, then those 3 cars would be pretty even.

F1 » Honda confident of matching Mercedes on F1 return

Buzz45: Honda's last engine couldn't have been all that bad because Button took it to 2nd in the WDC.
When did Button finish 2nd in WDC using the last Honda engine?, which was Honda's V8 Engine (2006-2008) he was 6th, 15th & 18th in the 3 season's of the V8 era before switching to Merc's V8 in 2009. i guess you mean 2004 with the Honda V10 when he finished 3rd, but thats not there most recent F1 engine.

F1 » Honda confident of matching Mercedes on F1 return

albertswift: Honda's last attempt at an F1 engine was pretty hopeless ? On what data is that assumption based ?
Honda's V8 was very poor, ask Jenson & rubens as when they switched to Merc's for 2009 they both said the engine was much better, more powerfull and better power curve compared to the Honda and was better in everyway, the Honda V8 was weak right from the off in 2006 and they never caught up although that may be due to the engine freeze they came in after Brazil 06. There V10 pre 2006 was very good though, Honda seem to start slow with engines and then build them up to the best, problem with that is F1 now has this stupid engine freeze rules which means if u start slow, you stay slow....

F1 » Button admits retirement is possible

I think Massa has got a 2 year deal so he wont be replacing him. + wages don't mean much to Button, if u remember he signed for mclaren as world champion on like £5 million a year for 2 years in 2010, then he beat Hamilton in champ in 2011 and they throw a 15 million 3 year contract in his lap and said plz sign now! (for 2012) Im sure he would be happy to go back to a 2-5 million contract with the right team.

F1 » Pirelli: Perez excuse ‘pathetic’

Its funny, all the drivers & fans complained that the tyres were to soft calling it a joke and destroying f1, now that the tyres are harder and last so u can push from start to finish everyone still complaining now saying thats boring & a Joke and destroying F1 = Make your minds up! Trust me it wont be any different with another tyre supplier, look at bridgestone in MotoGp, everyone complains about them aswell, will be the same with who ever takes Pirelli spot. Plus Gp2 cars are going to be able to do like 5 laps on there softest tyre this weekend, the degradation was massive in practice/Quali which is why they are fast over 1 lap.
