I agrre with that comment above. I think he beleives he can still fight with the proper bike. Rossi never gives up trying to do well. He always looks for some positives. I think a world championship is beyond him but winning races isn't. I think he can influence who wins a championship though. I think if he can get a bike that suits his strenghths late braking and accelerating out of corners he can still win races. You can see the bike has been designed around Lorenzo but if he can influence the direction of the 2014 bike things may be different

personally think this is prelude to him coming back. I think he thought he could jump in a car and be instantly succesful. His career in the V8 supercar class has been pretty poor and i think he is going nowhere with this. I think he will be back in 2014 with pedrosa out to another team. If I was crutchlow i would be getting a contract sorted pdq.

As I said in my previous post timing and luck is everything. Had he been ready when spies left yamaha and rossi had only been in to his first year at Ducati he might be sitting in the factory team. Motogp is full of ifs and buts. who would have bet on Stoner jacking it in. unfortunately for him there are younger rriders coming through (not that he's old)now who are negotiating deals that guarantee them a factory seat in 2 years. His best bet i still think is tech 3. I think unfrotunately for Bradley smith they will buy out his contract at the end of this season and he will go

Timing is everything in motorsport whether it be F1 or Motogp. Being in the right place at the right time and Making sure you have management know the game and position to take advantage of what comes up. Crutchlow is in the wring place at the wrong time . His management are to blame. He won't get a yamaha factory ride. Jarvis said that Rossi and Lorenzo will have have these seats as long as they want them. He should have signed a better deal at Tech 3 but didn't thinking the factory ride would come up. I think he has limited options. In behind this you have Espargot and redding coming up to Motogp next year. I think these 2 are viewed as potential factory riders. If he doesn't watch he could end up as another Colin Edwards. I also think he needs to keep his mouth shut. Very few other riders go on about contracts etc, they leave that to their managers. If I was him I would be looking at staying at Tech 3 there are much worse options than this and very few better at the moment.

I think he needs to assess what he wants from this game. Does he want the money and kudos from racing in any factory team or does he want to be a serious contender. If so in the absence of the factory yamaha being an option trying to stay at tech 3 for another season at least until the Suzuki project is up and running. The tech 3 as Lin jarvis said on TV is ostensibly a factory bike The Ducati is a dog and is a career destroyer and he should stay away from it. I don't believe that Audi are going to turn this around within 2 years. I personally don't think that Bradley Smith as much as I think he is a decent guy, will hold his seat beyond next year, I think there are too many riders coming through that are quicker. Crutchlow needs to be careful what he does next.
