MotoGP » Official: Cal Crutchlow to Ducati MotoGP team

The speed with which Yamaha announced the signing of Espargaro suggest that was clearly a done deal and Cal had been left with a limited package from Yamaha. Fairly typical of Japanese factories to be honest and showed no loyalty to Cal, especially as they had most likely done the deal with Pol before Cal started getting consistent front running results. For the record I also wish Espargaro well, but fear this is all turning into a Spanish national championship. But who cares I cant watch it next year anyway.

MotoGP » Cal Crutchlow's Ducati MotoGP deal done

I think you are all forgetting he doesn't currently have a ride next year. So after his form this year Yamaha hastily put together a package cos they realise Cal is a good rider, after all they were the ones who went after Pol (jumping the gun as his form dipped like hell). So ask yourself this. What exactly would you do given the opportunity?? You are also forgetting he was a mate with Stoner too, so I imagine he will have had discussed this move with Casey too.

There are idiots here who claim various riders don't deserve their jobs or bikes, I hate to say it, but surely a team manager knows more about who is right or wrong that Crash forumites, who are clearly biased towards their favourite, or fellow countrymen etc. Lets look at a scenario shall we? So you are out of a job at the end of this year because you value your own talent and didn't want to stay stuck with in the same job for years to come, yet a large company with lots of specialist support comes along and offers you full support and the best they can produce, oh and pay you well too, obviously your research has shown that said company might not have the very best tools, but you are mates with som
