MotoGP » Qatar MotoGP: Crutchlow 'frustrating' fifth after factory fight

Like I said no problem with the CRT bikes, it was necessary to avoid having 12 or max 15 bikes on the grid, I just do t like a 2 tier race, this whole issue of different levels of machinery is where the whole debate started with Cal and tech 3. I don't wanna see everyone on dead equal machinery but we need a balance where equipment does not subdue talent.

MotoGP » Qatar MotoGP: Crutchlow 'frustrating' fifth after factory fight

Hammy you say there is no shame in cal finishing 7th behind Alvaro and Stefan, if you look back to last years finishing placings, ie Alvaro 5th Stefan 7th and cal 8th, I think cal really needs to beat these 2 guys to live up to the hype he is getting. In my opinion Bautista is underestimated, inferior kit but besting Bradl and cal by year end. Smith should be the one aiming for 7th.

MotoGP » Qatar MotoGP: Smith crashes out on fifth lap

Very reasoned comments from AlanG and indeed Nick881 in defence of Smith. For whatever reasons BS is on a T3 M1, be they, passport, commercial or unrealised talent spotted by Poncharal therefore he deserves his chance. What irks the fans is that there being so few competitive bikes available they believe there are several riders out there who could put the M1 to better use, that is an opinion to be respected. Fans also see hoping for top 10 as a lack of ambition and over cautious. I will wait for this season to finish before deciding on Smith but anything less than 7th will leave me hoping someone else gets the ride.
