MotoGP » Moto3: Estrella protest against Miller, Kent rejected

Six of one and half a dozen of the other. Miller was borderline but if each pass is taken individually very hard for the stewards to penalise. It did look like he was looking for AM and drifted wide off his line intentionally on at least two occasions. Hard and not completely fair in my opinion. Having said that Marquez was naive in the extreme falling into the same trap time and again. A smarter racer (Vazquez) would not have fallen for it but instead sprung the trap and taken the inside line. Being a champion is not only about speed but also racecraft and guile...AM has been found lacking here whereas Miller has put everything he has on the table.

MotoGP » Dani Pedrosa re-signs for Honda

Scott Redding, Sam Lowes, Jack Miller (will forget the Cameron Beaubier suggestion as a joke) none of them are anywhere near ready for a Repsol Honda, I put these comments down to Anglo wishful thinking. Will concede that SR is the closest of the bunch but he has a lot to prove. I would not expect that HRC will even consider anyone with a least a title in lower classes and a couple of wins in MotoGP to throw a leg over one of their top bikes. The time will come for one of the up 'n' comers to get a ride on a factory Yam or Honda but that time is not yet here. Unfortunate for JL to be having mediocre results at contract time, he will accept a pay cut and stay put.

MotoGP » Pedrosa hails 'amazing, special' race

Aside from the riders on the podium we are all winners today after being gifted such a great race. Dani proving EXACTLY why Honda want to keep him. I think it will be very difficult for him to leave Honda after having been there his whole career even if he has to take a pay cut. There will surely be a role at HRC for him if he retires from racing with them. Dani is a great development rider and fits the corporate image.

MotoGP » MotoGP announces control ECU from 2016

I think many people are losing sight of the fact that these latest set of rules are the best compromise for now and a stop gap to keep everybody... Factory, Ducati and Open class happy until the standard ECU and software come into effect. Its a good step that this has now been brought forward to 2016 and I am hoping that by the end of this season this can be amended to 2015. Everybody wants one set of rules to cover all entries, so what is everybody whinging about? Its coming, be patient. As most predict, this years racing is going to be a lot more competitive than previous seasons, yes the usual suspects will be up front but the second tier will be mixing it up much more and we can expect to see many new faces on the podium than previously. I'm really looking forward to forget politics and enjoy the racing.

MotoGP » Pedrosa unsure of Ducati Factory 2 potential

I think Dani would love to end his career with HRC, he has been a loyal servant throughout his career and if he does make it that far will no doubt be given a job for life with Honda. There is of course the chance that he could be replaced at Repsol Honda at some point. If that happens I would love to see him on a factory Yamaha. I think that the Yamaha will suit him after a period of adaptation. In his earlier career he was always a super smooth corner speed artist and adapted easily to the sit-up-point-and-shoot Honda. Nothing leads me to believe he couldn't win races on the Yam.

MotoGP » Hayden: Open, Factory, Factory 2… it’s confusing

I think Dorna has the right idea in the long run but has painted itself into a corner by massaging Nakamoto/Honda/HRC's ego too much and is now making it up as they go along. Go to compulsory spec ECU and software for 2015 and go back to one set of tech regulations. Lets see if HRC really pull out. More likely Nakamoto will be given a promotion within Honda away from HRC, allowing him to save face (ish). Fuel and engine allocation should be balanced at a level where smaller or incoming factories can compete without spending billions but tough enough for factories like Suzuki et al to have a technical challenge.

MotoGP » MotoGP Factory 2 triggered by Ducati 'advantage'

Factory 2 is of course a stop gap measure to keep the status quo between the main players here. Take note that Yamaha is completely silent as they have come up with a decent wait and see strategy by having a foot in both 'classes'. Rossi and Lorenzo will make their feelings clear once racing is under way. Rossi already joked that he wanted an Open Yam. I would love to see Yamaha jumping ship to Open in 2015... knock on effect, Dorna calls Honda's bluff, Nakamoto gets a face saving promotion out of HRC and upstairs at Honda. HRC quietly follows suit and develop their beloved software somewhere else, and hey presto...! One MotoGP class with level playing field

MotoGP » Moto2: Scott Redding out with fractured wrist

JS99, spot on mate, Pol has chased down Scott's massive early lead relentlessly. Rabat meanwhile has been quietly getting his act together and is now a real threat if he can keep up his current form. Whoever wins the title will have thoroughly deserved it, all 3 have fought like demons. Sad to see Redding lose it this way ( I don't think he would have won it even without this crash) but that's racing. I have been rooting for Tito and am hoping he can overhaul Pol now and take the crown. Shades of Jacque and Nakano on the Chesterfield Yamaha 250's.
