MotoGP » Austin MotoGP: CRT tyre debut 'overwhelmingly positive'

I don't understand why fans spout so much hate against CRT's. Don't forget this saved us from having to watch a 12-15 bike race. I think there was even a rule staing that a race could not start with less than 18? bikes. In my eyes it was a good temporary solution and even if the CRT's were too far away from the manufacturer bikes and made races a 2-tier affair at least it filled the grid and we got to see some new talent and gave the oldies a chance to not have to hang up their boots. If Honda and Yamaha can help fill up the grid with competitive equipment and Suzuki and Aprilia do their bit CRT's can be seen as saviour of MotoGP in that they allowed the series not to die until something better came along.

MotoGP » Qatar MotoGP: Crutchlow 'frustrating' fifth after factory fight

Like I said no problem with the CRT bikes, it was necessary to avoid having 12 or max 15 bikes on the grid, I just do t like a 2 tier race, this whole issue of different levels of machinery is where the whole debate started with Cal and tech 3. I don't wanna see everyone on dead equal machinery but we need a balance where equipment does not subdue talent.
