F1 » Rosberg heads extremely close FP2

Has anyone thought that Daniel might have taken one for the team. Assume that they willingly exceeded the flow limit hoping to argue against the accuracy of the sensors. Assume that they are hoping to get the sensors removed. Assume that they know full well that a fixed fuel allowance cannot be properly monitored in relation to produceable power. Would it not leave them in prime position to replicate the performance model of the 2013 car, massive power at the start, lead cushion, and then a cruise to the finish using their aero advantage.

F1 » Kate Walker: Fuel madness

physics: I stand with Fullofit on this one. For the competition to be fare, one should abide by the rules. That means the teams and FIA. If someone brakes the rules they should take their punishment. If RedBull did in fact breach the 100kg/h rule they were DQed for, they should stay excluded from the results. If FIA used inaccurate data to judge fuel flow and RedBull prove they didn't brake the rule, give them the podium back. The one thing that bugs me most is, that the stewards knew there are problems with the sensor and they never did switch to the FIA provided back up system. Any one planning to slam my comment, please do it directly with answers to my points and reasoning to why they think this is incorrect. BTW I approve the fuel flow limit 100%, and I want to see it enforced correctly.
The teams as well as the FIA, being aware of a problem with the sensors had already decided on an accepted offset. This went some way towards satisfying everyones' c

F1 » New chief for Russian F1 Grand Prix

Can we take political stances when we cannot trust the messages we are getting. Embedded news teams missed all the real news in Iraq and Afghanistan while being there. How accurate can their reports be when they are not. Someone shook a tree and the ripe fruit fell, leaves and unripe fruit fell also. Moral of the story, dont shake the tree unless you are prepared for all the cleanup. Now if we can only get accurate info on the Redbull problem.

F1 » Ricciardo excluded from Australian GP

Interesting comments folk, quite enjoyed the race even with the unfortunate early exits. Note to Rich et al re Koba's accepting the blame for the accident. It's a cultural thing, example being an unfortunate incident in New York where a young lady, having fallen on the train track and had her legs severed, apologised for causing the delay that prevented people getting to work on time.

F1 » ‘A lot more to come’ from Hamilton

continued. I regard all who compete in any form of motor sport as brave, competent and talented since my contribution is from a keyboard only and yet I consider myself not lacking as a person. I will refrain from going after teams or individuals . I would be disappointed to find any poster referring to me as a "fanboy" simply for not supporting disparaging or other remarks directed at one "peculiar" driver. Could someone be brave enough to say what really makes him such a target ? I watch Crash. Net daily. If and when there is a topic that piques my interest I will comment otherwise I'll just read.

F1 » ‘A lot more to come’ from Hamilton

kuhma:
B T: I was reading an article about driver rotation across teams during a season. And also considering someone like Sir Stirling Moss could possibly have out driven any car provided. Is he perhaps the best F1 driver ever?
Not the best F1 driver ever but who knows what could have happened if he had not finished his career early he could of gone on even to win a WDC. I know he out drove the great Fangio on many occasions but as Fangio is regarded as one of the best I would say maybe Mossy could go down as the best driver ever not to win a WDC tittle. And maybe the second best Silver Arrows driver in history, after Fangio. Hamilton is miles behind.
Silver Arrows in my recollection referred to German Grand Prix cars including Auto Union and involved drivers such as Rosemeyer and Hans Stuck sr. Stuck jr, even for his brief sojourn in F1 was regarded as brilliant especially in the wet. We can appreciate his skill in road racing . By

seashack: That photo of Lewis on F1 mag.... sigh... and some wonder why people go after him. If he stopped giving people reasons, it would stop, but he doesn't, so it doesn't. The the other thread with PC I mentioned that even his supporters are finding it harder and harder to defend him and one chimed in saying that some are still here, just watching quietly which totally proved my point. Stuff like that photo is also turning some off to him completely, not just watching quietly. The day those voices are silenced completely will be a happy day for those of us who watched F1 long before he came in and will watch when he's gone.
I am still here, quietly watching. I am a fan of motor racing in general, F1 in particular. My favourite drivers include Hans Stuck jr, Stirling Moss, Juan Manuel Fangio, Michelle Mouton and Sabine Schmitz. The Silver Arrows, 917's, Bentley Boys, Alfas have all piqued my interest as has Bluebird and Bugatti Veyron. I know who Big John
