MotoGP » Dovizioso fears Yamaha hopes scuppered by Rossi

Give the ride to Dovi. He has earned it this year. With Stoner leaving, he's probably good for at least 2 wins and 10 podiums on the factory level. Rossi is a bad risk, I think the sun has set on him. Rossi is the greatest of all time, but like a boxer past his prime, it's real ugly at the end of their careers. Rossi is also a Diva and needs the prettiest dress, and that's not going to happen at factory Yamaha. Lorenzo and Rossi are to office chic's that are catty with each other, and will never get along. Divided wall again. Dovi could care less about that stuff. He works well with everybody. Have you ever heard a bad word about Dovi? Good guy and bad ass racer.

MotoGP » Pedrosa unbeaten in Friday US MotoGP practice

I've seen Pedrosa up close, he's very short and light. I'm not sure he weighs 100 pounds. He's a hell of a rider though. My fifth grader is taller and bigger. He needs to get a title at some time. He's way to talented never to win a title. I'm surprised he has not won it all in the Spanish Racing league called Moto GP. Tony Elias in a world champ and Dani's not? I know were talking Moto 2, but still....Dorna fix your boy...

MotoGP » Ducati confirms new Nicky Hayden MotoGP contract

Well done Nicky. You have earned your keep. Yes, this does reflect that Audi just purchased Ducati, and the US market is now the biggest Ducati market. Also the largest share of Ducati bikes, (90%) are purchased in California( West Virginia is not on the Ducati marketing target list), in particular northern CA where the race is being held. Big ups to Nicky regardless......

MotoGP » Can MotoGP ever crack the USA?

Hey JDP, Foxs owns Speed TV. The other problem with getting GP going in America is our own attitude. I've been to several GP's at Laguna, and the best view is not the hill next to the cork screw, but all the hot chic's there that are distracting from the actual reason we are there. Yes America has fat chic's a plenty, but big girls do not fit so well on the back seats of sport bikes, henceforth the female talent level rises substantially that weekend. Also like another person posted, there about 90,000 motorcycles or more everywhere there, and no cars within 50 miles. So instead of watching Rossi riding, he becomes secondary to the girls walking around in bikini's, and its California (fake boobs). Also there's alot of porn companies marketing the area (Milf Hunter tent). So , I'm pissed on not going this year and missing out on the action, oh I mean the racing...We associate motorcycles with girls, as opposed to racing. People are riding up to Monterey to score, and maybe see racing.

MotoGP » Can MotoGP ever crack the USA?

The sole reason Moto GP is not popular in America is because Speed TV uses Scott Russel. His southern drawl accent is so deep, most Americans not growing up in the back woods of Georgia, have no idea of what he's saying. I don't know if he's talking about moon-shining, BBQ-ing a pig , motorcycle racing, hunting skunks, or "Boss Hog is gonna get them Duke boys" Scott also is not designed for HD TV. Please Speed TV, you guys need to give a warning scroll, or put his visuals on a 5 second delay. Speed TV makes us listen to Scott Russel, instead of the two Brit guys for Indy and Laguna Seca. That scares everybody who may possibly get into Moto GP away. Scott is a great guy, and knows his stuff, but he's not audible to 99% of America. Here's a quick reference guide to translate what Scott may say. "We fixing" = We are about to do something "He reckons" = The rider is thinking about something "Around yonder" = What happening on the other side of the track "Put some giddy up" = Rider is

MotoGP » Ben Spies to leave Yamaha MotoGP team

I got my Yamaha 50th anniversary R1 because Ben won in those colors. Oh, well. I 'm still a Spies fan, and I hope he stays in Moto GP, but I like the idea of him moving into BMW, or like someone else speculated, Suzuki. Michael Jordan is a billionaire with two Suzuki teams in AMA. He has stated several times he would like to race in GP in the future. He could fund a full Suzuki GP effort with NIKE title sponsor advertising, and any of the other 100 products MJ endorses. So I could see Spies, and maybe one of his AMA guys moving into Moto GP next year. MJ is not concerned about losing money. His NBA team is the worst in the leagues , and makes the least amount of revenue, and he could care less. This means he's willing to dump a ton of money into Suzuki GP. Anyways , that's my take.
