F1 » de la Rosa subs for Perez

@Oli - How would you like 5.6G's of pressure under braking into the penultimate corner straining your body while you're carrying a head injury? You'd wuss out before even leaving the pits. Formula 1 cars are extremely demanding on the drivers, who are among the most determined and fit sportsmen in the world. If Perez says he shouldn't drive, then he shouldn't drive. He knows much better than you do.

F1 » Webber set to stay with Red Bull

Hmm. I'm a big Webber fan, but not too sure on how I feel about this deal. I really hope Mark can pick up the pace, return to winning form and launch a serious title charge next season (2011 is pretty much already sorted). Seeing him struggle this year has been very disheartening. I just hope that what I assume will be his final year in F1 won't be as much of a downer as this one. @pitstop - Take everything Helmut Marko says with a grain of salt, the man talks out of his ****.

F1 » FIA to take account of teams' views in Bahrain decision

For me it's a matter of ethics. The country is clearly in turmoil. Even if safety for the fans, drivers, team personnel and media were guaranteed, it's simply unethical to send the most prestigious and expensive motorsport in the world on a Bahraini road trip at this point in time. As Mark Webber recently said on Twitter: "When people in a country are being hurt, the issues are bigger than sport".
