F1 » Massa fate to drag on past Monza?

I can't believe the amount of sympathy Ferrari have shown Massa. Letting him race in 2010 after his injury was the right thing to do, but he's since had three and a half seasons to prove he's still worthy of the drive, and personally, I think he's done nothing to show it. In addition to the lack of pace, he makes silly errors that no top-flight driver should be making, like spinning out in Germany, crashing heavily twice in Monaco, breaking his suspension twice on curbs in India. In all of those incidents he was the only driver in the entire field to have made those mistakes. I like Felipe, but he's had more than enough time to prove himself, and year after year of constant speculation about whether he'll remain at Ferrari says it all. He clearly hasn't.

F1 » Nasr in Toro Rosso frame?

Nasr's a fantastic driver. First saw him in Singapore 2009, came into BMW Asia as a guest driver for that weekend and won both races. Been following his career since then. He's too good to be chewed up and spat out by one of the bottom teams, it'd be good to have him in a car that could fight for points.

F1 » Kovalainen not ready to give up on F1

"he wasn't quicker than vdG and Pic in his FP outings" And this matters why? There's a reason why "free practice" and "qualifying" are different sessions. One is about honing the setup of the car, gathering data, and pushing forward with it's development, and the other is about setting fast times. It should be plainly obvious that Heikki is given FP outings to provide feedback and aid progress, not to have his own personal battle with the other Caterham. The team want advice from a veteran Formula 1 driver.

F1 » Nasr in Toro Rosso frame?

JJJ. With all due respect you sound like someone reading stats rather than a regular GP2 viewer. For a young kid who's only in his second GP2 season he's doing phenomenally well taking the fight to drivers who have been chugging around since 2009. Make no mistake, GP2 is tough on newcomers, there are a lot of veterans there who know the car, know the teams, know the drill and will dominate rookies, just like Valsecchi. He was competing his sixth season when paired with Nasr at DAMS. Take a look at all the GP2 champions since 2008 and you'll notice something in common. They all took four or more seasons to win the title, with the exception of Hulkenberg who incredibly won it in his first season. Mate, if you're not convinced that a driver like Nasr deserves a shot at F1, you've got some unreasonably high standards. What do you think of Chilton? VDG? Gonzalez?

F1 » Talks set over Melbourne future

With the way Australia is going soon the obsession with "value for taxpayers" will mean we end up with nothing at all. No upgraded rail, costs too much. No fibre-optic broadband to your home, costs too much. No airport upgrade for Sydney, costs too much. No Melbourne GP, costs too much. AAA economy that is the envy of the world, yet all we do is complain any time money is spent. It's incredible.
