Richard, I guess we need to ask Dan Gurney, as he built and won a GP in his own car. When Ford poured money into the GT40 for a persnal vendetta against Ferrari at Les Mans they did it Lately, Panoz has been succesful, but he's selling out. PS, your correct the Eagle ran a Weslake engine.

Jose, if your an old a dog as you say, you must remember the old CAN/AM and Trans/AM series. With home grown racers Sam Posey, Mark Donohue, Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney, Jim Hall and many more, plus a Boat Load of non Americans who usualy won. Now that WAS racing!

It's a pity Barber in Alabama wasn't built to F1 spec. It is beautiful, like a small Spa, easy access, and the museum is incredible. I've done some hot laps on it myself and what a track, but it's just to short and narrow. On top of our misery, NASCAR's France has bought Petite Le Mans, and is combining it with his DPS debacle. We just can't get a break.

Another reason to hate Fox. To cheap to keep the series. Will miss Steve, David, Bob and Will. They were intertaining enough to make even a procession worth watching. NBC's stick and ball outfit will probably ruin the whole shebang.

@Salan The problem is Lewis' past antics, have created the situation that when his mouth is open, few expect as you said, "a legitimate view" @ everyone else. More than twice on this thread I've read Renault suplied faulty alternators. They are probably outsourced (Nippondenso, etc). Plus it has been explained that the chassis doesn't provide proper cooling for sake of aero.
