F1 » Pirelli: Perez excuse ‘pathetic’

" there's a lot of wheelspin, so it's not as if we can change everything during the year. We managed a couple of test sessions and you're not going to jump in to a season with everything perfect with a brand new car". First of all the front wheels aren't spinning, thy're washing out. Perhaps like Moto Gp, a different compound for front and rear? Second, the rest of this quote is a pretty damning self admission that they are at least partially to blame. So 'pathetic' , in this case is really undeserved.

@Professor X This quote, you're correct. I guess I'm referring to a generalized driver's complaint about understeer, lack of front grip and downforce. If this was better controlled, rear sliding leading to more rear wheel spin could be some what marginalized. Of course with recovery braking on hard rear tyres there will be a high degree of rear wheel spin nonetheless.
