F1 » Vettel leaves Red Bull F1 team

Always thought Vettel would end up at Ferrari. as most of the best eventually do. But under the present circumstances, unless the scuderia pulls out a miracle, I predict he won't have the patience of Alonso. Waiting half a decade for a competitive car that never appeared. Of course, as a a wealthy young 4 times WDC, he could also rest on his past accomplishments and cruise around for a couple of years or more, whilst they pour another billion or so in his account. Jokes on Ferrari?

F1 » Vettel leaves Red Bull F1 team

JJ9871011: Looks like SV stole FA's big thunder. With SV and KR together, should be interesting. Biggest loser I think is Button. He will most likely be left out in the cold. KM will most likely stay unless EB has been trying to get RG in that seat pushing both out, but that is likely not going to happen.
don't forget honda claims they have a say in this

F1 » Alonso close to Ferrari exit

richard: walrus. i havent commented on this!! but there are several points button wont go to ferrari. ferrari wold be mad to go for a driver at the end of his career, and he is just not good enough! i doubt that vettel would suddenly up and leave rbr, as they have been loyal to him, and as you say, the bull is getting better and better. further, seb has just signed a further 1 year (after 2015). and as you say, why would he want to fade into oblivion like ferdi, as ferrari have not been able to provide a wdc winning car for a number of years? most likely route for ferrary IF (its a big "if") ferdi bails out. they would keep kimi and bring in a young charger like vergne or bianchi, with a view to building a car and team around a new driver
Agreed,Thats why I drug you into this thread.

F1 » Raikkonen boosted by Singapore progress

goldenoldie: In my opinion Kimi never liked the initial version of the 2014 car and just like Seb has given feed-back to the engineers inorder to develop their cars in the right direction. On the other hand, I have the impression that Fernando and Daniel have been able to cope with the 2014 cars and have been more occupied to adapt to the initial characteristics instead of trying to increase overall performance and behaviour. Am I right? Don't know but in my humble opinion it feels to me that way! Love to hear the opinion of how others feel about this. Thanks for your reactions
As for those that coped with the new formula, I would add Bottas to your list and agree, as I came to that same conclusion.

F1 » No decision on McLaren F1 drivers – Honda

richard: looks as if you have not been following f1 for very long! schumi signed for ferrari, who hadnt wona race or quite a while, and look what he did. and then there was even vettel, who signed for a team that had never even won a race! and there are many other instances too numerous to mention. nobody (least of all you) knows if macca will have a good car next year or not. nobody knows what the honda motor will be capable of. you could even find that they have a brawn type advantage next year!
Ironically joining Ferrari now would be after a mini slump, as Lauda did previously,

F1 » Hamilton 'determined' to join Suzuka elite

richard: if you have no basic competition apart from your teammate, there is unlikely to be any "great drive", and you wont be remembered alongside the true greats!
Would you care to tell that to Giacomo Agostini?
i thought that i knew most , if not all of the f1 drivers, but i am stumped! i never heard of agostini driving an f1 car. In the late 70's, Jacko did drive a Chevron, an Aurora and a Williams. But ALL non championship races. Perhaps Jed is referring to Jacko vs Hailwood as teammates on GP bikes? Or their competition? All I can say is I Wouldn't mention Giacomo and the merc driver in the same sentence.
