MotoGP » Marquez, Lorenzo, Pedrosa talk shoulder injuries

Alpinestars Tech Air leathers must be very happy with the endorsment, if the bag inflates before impact then it can only be good and well done. Never enough to protect the riders yet never enough for the riders to be safe. Thats the nature of our sport. There is a unique martial element to our sport puting the riders very high up if not the highest on the list of sports which carry the danger of serious injury if not worse. The boys must be highly respected for participating in their pusuit for greatness.

MotoGP » Penalty points for injured Marquez

The right equipment is important, in fact without it it is near impossible to win a championship, recent comparative exemples include Jonathan Rea who was given a couple of rides on Casey's bike when injured, all all accounts Jonathan is a respected rider, extremely experienced and at the top of the game yet his rersults did not make any impact as we all expected. The same applies to Rossi who is in the twilight of his carrer, he has the same equipment as Lorenzo yet he routinely finishes 10 second behing Lorenzo. Bradly Smith versus Cal same story. So take nothing away from Marquez, he rightly could stand on the podium of the best ever but before he achieves this he will have to keep his wits about him. It must be remembered that the very best riders in the world seldom crash but marquez is at the top of the number of crashes this year in MotoGP, letting his youthfull exhuberance overtake is senses. In theory, as he matures, he should become more consistent and settle down. .

MotoGP » Marquez: Beating pole record made it sweeter

As the penny drops, perhaps all comments in this thread alluding to Marquez beating Casey record are unfounded, the time sheets do not lie, the top 5 on the grid made it below Casey's record, perhaps the 800cc and 1000cc difference explains it... It would in deed be very interesting to see what casey can do on the RSV13 1000cc but then he is out of race practice so we may never know...

MotoGP » Rossi: I’ve never seen a rookie like Marquez

As I have already said if the kid keeps his wits about him as he has done in the last four races he will take the championship. Whilst it is entertaining for us to see him treating his bike like a rag doll and thowing it around like a little toy forever taking it to the absolute limit, I truly wonder how long he can do this for without incidents. Yet so far he has humbled his opposition, shown skills worth of an all time best, and mental strength rarely seen before.
