I'm not Hamilton's greatest fan but Lauda's comments were out of order. Lewis does have a history of bouncing back well after criticism so I wouldn't be surprised for the same again this time.

I don't think, somehow that this morning will be hugely representative. I don't really have anything to base that on though.

@pcxmac Has it not occurred to you that both Vermeulen and Neukirchner's best days occurred in the past before their injuries? Going back to 2008 and 2009 Neukirchner looked like a future WSBK champion, not a future Moto2 also-ran.

I hope I'm wrong but Vermeulen is on that list of rdiers who could have done so much more: Vermeulen Neukirchner Simoncelli to name but three recent examples.

De Puniet will win because the rain is such a great leveller... The rain isn't a 'leveller,' it simply mixes thngs up. Some advantages are negated in the wet but others become larger.

I would love the race to finish like this on Sunday. Pedrosa will go well, he's finished top two every year here in Moto GP.

@ richard I've just realised, the one about the Spanish GP was a response to this: "I certainly hope you don't intend to watch anymore GPs this season because in case you you haven't realised the same "F1" that is "indirectly supporting the Bahraini rulers" will be the same "F1" that supports the remaining 16 races!" which wasn't one of your quotes, sorry for the misunderstanding. And no I don't think it's great of Mclaren to be half owned by them, but then again it hardly constitutes the same reason for my not watching the race. Sponsorship of the team is not an attempted front to prove to the outside world some sort of inner peace within the country which does not exist. Edit as per post below. My point is still the same. I don't watch F1 to watch Mclaren...

@ Richard Fine the Spanish GP, which is in Catalonia. What does it have to do with the Bahraini's? nothing. That's my point, a small "boycott" of the Spanish GP would be pointless considering my issue was with the Bahraini GP, a point as a response to your previous post. Amnesty International claimed that the situation now is "much the same as last year," so I thought the same could be said of F1's involvement. Apparently not. I didn't say that team bosses had said that it was the wrong thing, merely that they are having a meeting to decide if it was the right thing. I was stating that if you find the idea of people who didn't watch this GP watching other GP's abhorrent, surely the same should apply to a team member's participation in other GP' if they were opposed to this one. Your "No media" point about the golf is irrelevant. It was hardly as big an event, and the only foreign media in Bahrain at the weekend were sporting media.

@spotinthypocrite and Richard I can see your point, though it is somewhat undermined by the fact that my complaint was more about the way the event was used by the Bahraini regime and that I simply disagreed that F1 was right to play ball. I hardly think the Bahraini rulers will be using a successful Catalan GP as evidence all is well within their borders. I therefore expect that you shall be writing to any members of the team's whom, with the benefit of hindsight, may decide that going was the wrong thing, and inform them that their presence will not be accepted at any remaining Grands Prix. I am genuinely intrigued to know whether you agreed with the decision not to go to Bahrain last year? This is not intended to provoke so please don't misinterpret.

@ richard I missed one Grand Prix. It turns out to be interesting. I am devastated. Of course no one noticed that I didn't watch it, of course no one cared except me. What's your point, I have principles? I didn't liken the impact of the death of one protestor to the holocaust, I was merely using a case study to highlight the implications of your previous comment. Arguably, by your standards, it is a sad comment from you to "liken" the death of British motorists to the way a high profile sporting event used by a corrupt and murderous regime to try and show the outside world all is well in a country when it plainitively isn't. To my mind, by being in Bahrain F1 is indirectly supporting the Bahraini rulers. I am not on a "holier than thou" crusade, I simply believe that it would be right of F1 to have understood that they are not in an isolated bubble, protected from the world around them.
