F1 » German GP, Hockenheim - Race results [UPDATED]

@richard Despite what is said, if Mclaren were really trying to use Hamilton to disrupt Vettel it would have been easy to make it much more effective. To me it looked like Hamilton was fed up with the whole situation and if he had passed Alonso he'd have just driven away from him, he probably wasn't in the mood to play the team game. It's just as well Vettel didn't take the Senna Irvine 1993 approach to voicing his complaints!

F1 » Alonso wins German GP

Vettel seemed to get needlessly angry with Lewis and then made several errors in the laps after, so I can only conclude he let it affect him too much. Then he cheated to get past Button when he could have just waited a couplecof corners or another lap and gone past on the track.

F1 » Raikkonen: Title still possible

@ JMD you sound like Jacques Villeneuve when he was a pundit in Canada. Raikkonen has experience, Grosjean is very quick. Interestingly Villeneuve's disapproval of Grosjean was based on the fact that he was not as quick as Alonso three years ago having jumped into a Renault mid season. Obviously it has not entered his mind that Grosjean has obviously improved, even though he wasn't that far behind in raw pace anyway, certainly quicker than the more experienced Piquet. But I digress, the headline is a bit misleading, he's refusing to rule it out rather than saying it is his target.

F1 » Massa after fifth or sixth in drivers' championship

@ richard I'm a couple of days late, so I don't know if you'll see this. I'm aware of what di Montezemolo said and Massa is favourite, however Montezemolo said that before Canada after a run of poor races and when he might still have believed Webber was a possibility. If Perez were to have a run of strong races and Massa reverted to his early season poor form then Ferrari may well change their mind.

F1 » Promoter signs as Sochi reveals glimpse of future

Long straights and slow corners. I know Tilke can only build on what he's given but it begs the question why doesn't someone make the decision to, you know, build tracks on interesting land? Straights the length of the ones at India, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi, korea simply aren't interesting. Why is that so hard to understand. The maximum length for a flat out mostly straight section should be the length of Bahrain's or Monza's.
