MotoGP » No Mugello miracle for Rossi and Ducati

Why can't they make the front cylinders parallel to the radiator ??? kind of at the angle the yamaha M1 has for it's cylinders, and then mount the rear cylinders and the gearbox from that ?? they don't need a large sump if they do a dry sump and store the oil elsewhere. that engine needs to come forward, and they need to make a full frame. if they make it out of carbon they need to do quick adjustment of thickness braces, to make kt flexy but not to chatter

MotoGP » Worst Mugello qualifying for downbeat Rossi

You know, I took what raw dog said, and I believe he is right. I don't think it is rossi as much as it is the design of the ducati. not being able to sit on the frame and instead sit on the engine means a lot of the feel that you have is going to be amplified / damped by the engine and it's own personal vibrations. and that crankshaft sits farther back a good solid 5inches compared to the yamaha it looks like. I went ahead and rotated the ducati's L4 so that the front cylinders and the crankshaft were farther forward significantly. the airbox will still be the monocoque. but now the frame connects to the swingarm instead, and the engine is longer stressed member. let me know what you think. image at i.imgur.com/5vvOE.jpg

MotoGP » Andrea Dovizioso - Q&A

i have thought the same thing about the moto2 bikes not being nearly the level of skill required as motogp bikes, thank you dovi for confirming this! and with the electronics, i think the only way to do that would to be kind of like F1. ban it completely, or do spec magnetti marelli computers for everyone that cannot do GPS based and lean based traction control, only wheel speed sensor based traction control. I think this would make the cost come down and the competitiveness come up, if everyone is on the same electronics and the same tire, it will be remaining to be the best chassis , team, and rider. But if we cut out the electronics then I believe going back to fuel levels that are much more manageable for the electronics (greaterthan 24L , etc ) is going to become necessity also, which i have no problems with at all!
