I think Rossi is going to prove there was nothing wrong with the Ducati by going slow on the Yamaha as well

Would be great if Dovi can breath new life into Ducati, good plan having Hayden on a one year contract the writing is on the wall!

@Tetley the outlook is not great and yes a comparison between Vales performance and Dovi suspect they will be similar - that is not good We had a comparison at the end of Stoners time with Ducati and Vales beginning, momentum was certainly lost with that change and Stoner seemed to give Pedrosa a lift in performance when he showed what was possible on the Honda.

The problem is they haven't got the hardest riders or the best bike, even with Pedrosa or Lorenzo they would probably only pick up the occasional win. Nicky only won two races the year he won the championship! Ducati does not have the best engineers or riders so there results are predictable - you can only go so far on luck and hope!

This conjecture on next years pecking order only makes the anticipation for those first few races even greater! I would love to be proved wrong but I can't see Dovi on the ducati providing any surprises however, think we will have to leave that up to MM.

Ducati have had no clear direction the last 2 years and have achieved nothing in terms of progress. Now with Rossi replaced by Dovi they don't even have hope! Not to say Dovi isn't a good rider but he had his chance on the Honda and never shone

@its a possibility, that would be something, these bikes can bite however and riders can get hurt worse than in the 250's.....
