MotoGP » Marquez: Sepang in past, focus on Valencia

gammagamma:
sage: Bottom line it's an undeserved championship for JL, but watch him celebrate like he won it fare and square. As a matter of fact his previous titles were also lucky ones 2010 Rossi was injured and 2012 stoner. And 2015 thanks to asshole MM.
EXACTLY!!!! I could not agree more. The only way Lorenzo can win is if somebody else breaks their leg, or in this case is "hamstrung" by Marquez. I hope this sh1t storm never goes away. Any objective person following this knows that this year's championship is a farce.
There are rules to the game, if all the players play by the same rules then it's not a farce. Sadly there are a lot of gray areas in MotoGP and unfortunately it depends on who you are as to the treatment you receive when there are disputes. It's always been like that - life's not fair and the squeaky wheel gets the oil :) The riders that are the most successful have always had more influence. $$$$ is the problem, if you see the unfairness as a problem ............

At the end of the day this isn't about right and wrong, it's about winning and losing, Rossi has fallen out with plenty of other riders over the years but with MM it hasn't all gone Rossi's way so easily, he isn't winning as much and he no longer has the boyish charm he used to, Seems like the officials aren't quite as keen to give in to his demands, he still got off very lightly with this altercation but it wasn't quite the result he wanted so he is not happy, his fans aren't either. I am definitely not a Rossi fan or a MM fan as far as that goes but have really enjoyed MM successfully standing up to Rossi - certainly have a lot more respect for him now!

Ampere "As others have also said: Marquez is the product of Rossi, he is the evolution of the very strategies and tough racing that Rossi has used and requested exist in the sport. He has copied almost exactly some of his rather harsh moves (Laguna-2008, Jerez-2005). He operates on the same principal of attack and attack-back as soon as possible. You block pass me and I will block pass you back. Rossi doesn't want others to play that game. He wants to run the table and wait for the fold." Yes you are right MM is Rossi but without some of the more overt machinations MM learns and adapts very quickly - think Rossi feels very threatened

nikisan: Yeah right. Even when Rossi put the public and media's attention on him on Thursday at Sepang, he didn't give 2 monkeys and still went about trying to slow him down and ruin his race That would be because it wasn't real, Rossi just wants the championship without having to race for it....... He wants to beat MM without have to do it fairly but he has misjudged MM - he isn't a push over and he isn't an idiot.

JOCO12: Bikenut the word Nut suggests nutters not reasonable thinkers
Yep think for myself.......didn't think much of MM until recent events, now I have a lot of respect for him, to be able to go head to head with Rossi's verbal and physical (on the bike) bullying tactics - quite a remarkable young man. Seems he can ride at least as well as Rossi also Seeing a pattern here which gives me a clue to Rossi's long term success - and it's not all about riding speed or skill

Garcia:
tellboy: WOW ....Yamaha's MotoGP managing director Lin Jarvis believes Marc Marquez's actions towards Valentino Rossi have to be questioned following their controversial clash in the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Marc Marquez actions towards Valentino Rossi... yes, l saw it. Looked like he was trying to get in from of him. I think it's called "racing".
Nice one!

JOCO12: Well said Gerd46 what has happened is that so many anti Rossi guys have just been throwing insults about the Rossi fans and bad mouthing and name calling that anything else they throw into their comment is ignored because they are so bitter which negates all their comments .How can you reason with such bitter people. I pride myself on knowing what is right and wrong in my life and I know what MM did was wrong MM might have achieved what he wanted to achieve but the tide is turning more people can see the truth and how bad does it make MM and Honda look. JL has always looked bad and is not received well at any race but you do not hear him complaining that his punishment was too lenient - it was non existent for the yellow flag even though he had the nerve to say Rossi's was lenient.. Please you Rossi haters do not think that Rossi fans are signing a petition just because they are fans they are signing the petition because they are sure that MM went out to sabotage Rossi and I personall
The term fan suggests followers not leaders so it's not surprising they all "think" the same way as Rossi :) rather than think for themselves
