MotoGP » MotoGP Rider of the Year vote: Full Results

@Codger thousands voting with multiple names kept him out? (Rossi) Really?, rider of the year means nothing, do you really think anyone could be bothered? Like Lorenzo he was mr consistency but unlike Lorenzo he was performing way below past performances, he promised so much and delivered so little. Pedrosa had one of his better years (about time) and performed above expectation. Like Rossi Stoner also performed below expectation. Rossi couldn't get comfortable with the bike and Stoner couldn't work with this years tyres but no one wants to listen to excuses. Hence their results! Based on performance (race wins) it was the correct result.

MotoGP » MotoGP Rider of the Year vote: 3rd

@luis Nero Perception is not always reality, you can't really compare different riders from different years but more importantly motogp was only ever the European series really and more recently it has become more like the Spanish series. Stoner won everything he competed in in Australia...... So you can't really say he has only ever won in 800's that's just silly especially since he seems far more focused on race wins than championship results

MotoGP » Stoner, Pedrosa share your 'Rider of the Day' spoils

You would have to perform well and be liked to get votes, probably a little surprising Jorge didnt figuire higher likewise surprising Valentino did so well, guess he is still very popular as he never really achieved much on the Ducati at any of the races even getting soundly beaten by riders in the second tier series on occasions. Certainly Casey and Dani put a lot of effort in so well deserved.
