MotoGP » Official: Jack Miller to MotoGP with Honda

shamarone: Re: "I love it when big leaps are made...WSS to MotoGP, AMA to MotoGP etc." How 'bout death. Walking around upright, hanging at a party with your best friend, to 6 feet under. That's a "big leap" too innit...? Re: "It's exciting, especially when someone you don't expect to win, wins!" Anybody remember when Simo got killed...? boy was that unexpected, SOBERED our asses right up but good.
It was certainly unwanted, great viewing to have riders taking risks and pushing hard so he has been sorely missed, I guessed no one actually expected him to get killed but let's not forget the other riders complaining about what they perceived as his dangerous riding. Anyone who thinks motogp isn't risky simply isn't thinking and the more risks you take the more dangerous it is.

MotoGP » Victorious Valentino Rossi 'at the best of my career'

tedleaf: well done vale. oldest person to win yet in motoGO ? about time someone showed that these youngsters do not know it all. the yellow army will sink a few drinks tonight. glad to see that wicked grin again. tim.
Certainly one of the older winners and a great performance! Believe Troy Baylis had a one off Ducati motogp ride at Valencia in 2006 as a reward for winning the super bike championships for ducati that year and won beating capirossi on the other factory Ducati as well as Rossi on the factory Honda. Baylis was 37 at the time so definitely not a record for oldest win, there may have been others before my time I am not aware of........

MotoGP » Victorious Valentino Rossi 'at the best of my career'

arizona: Key to Rossi's win was being tenacious with Marquez, every time Marquez thought he had the job done on Rossi, Rossi just kept coming back, that is the way to race the youngster he then will make a mistake as his natural ride is to be on the edge all of the time. Think the consensus is JL was on the wrong front tyre. Anyway congratulations to Rossi on Breaking 5000 points.
Key to Rossi's win was being up at the pointy end every race! An opportunity arose at this meeting and Rossi took it

MotoGP » Marquez has first shot at Doohan record

The usual comments about the winning rider also on the best bike, certainly worth thinking about but has Dani been finishing second every race? No. The honda is definitely competitive but the two bikes are clearly very close, as they were last year and in fact the last few years. Any rider who dominates under the current rules with control tyres is going to be the best of the factory yamaha/honda riders.

MotoGP » Rossi would welcome Burgess return with Miller

Vilas46: Brolong22 In my mind i bealive that Rossi droop JB because Rossi was feeling that JB didnt bealive anymore that was possible to Win!! Rossi is one rider that all is carear speack about how importante it is to do what you love, to keep the motivacion HIGH, to have FUN.. And maybe JB was not that enginner anymore, maybe the time in Ducati cost more to JB head then to Rossi... In the end the rider has to do is Job alone on track, and i think that Rossi improvements this year are a MIX of 2 year with Yamaha and also the Fact that he Feel that the people around still bealive and worck 100% to achieve is Goal... Is like Rossi say is very nice to wach JB again specaly with one Aussie around, will be very good for Jack Miller and will be a New start that will excite JB again to keep worcking...
Think you are onto something there, JB certainly wasn't afraid to say that he thought Rossi was now struggling to match the outright pace of the top three, maybe that kind of honesty wasn't what Rossi needed in his corner and maybe it was just time for a change (if he had still been winning there would not have been a problem obviously)
