MotoGP » Marquez unaware of Stoner discussions

No, it would certainly add a different dynamic to the situation but surely he wouldn't mind who was on the other honda, I mean sure he is ultra competitive but he is a cool dude. Actually no I am not so certain but in any case after 2 years away he would have nothing to worry about - Stoner may well be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat for qual. but race distance would be a problem after being off the bike for so long.

golfnut04: As good as Marquez is he doesn't want someone as fast as Stoner to share paddock space especially in the same team, Repsol probably calls the shots and Stoner not being a Spaniard they decided to go for the slower Japanese rider, reminds me of the Puig days calling the shots for Pedrosa, this decision might bite them in the ass someday, i can see Stoner never returning to Honda even if they beg him or better he might offer his services to another factory team and wax the Honda team in the process.

MotoGP » Honda decided against Stoner MotoGP return?

LiVio: I find it funny how this years ducati is all about the bike but when stoner did it it was about him !! He had the same cheating concessions (tyres) and when it got evened up he wasn't the same. If your so naturally gifted and could ride anything how come you were only successful on a 800!!!!???
Sadly this years Ducati hasn't won yet..........I for one am not getting my hopes too high - while I would love to see them take wins!

MotoGP » Honda decided against Stoner MotoGP return?

Codger: Why on earth would a retired rider be allowed back anyway. Who is next on the list Spencer, Lawson, Phil Read ? If Casey, or anyone else, came in and scored points all that would do is spoil the final points table. If he did badly and couldn't break into the top 15 then what would Honda gain out of that ? All speculation.....anyway Stoner said only 3 weeks ago that he will never come back to MotoGP. (remind yourself of the reasons he gave for retiring, all those reasons are still there!)
