MotoGP » Yamaha responds to Honda, Repsol 'kick' comments

magno: A question - what, exactly, is the difference between a block pass and the maneuver that Mr. Rossi made? It appears both are to keep the rider behind from passing again, usually by making the corner in a manner where you are off the normal racing line. I have never heard of block passes as being called unsportsman like although if you cannot pass someone and get away then you are really no faster overall than the other rider.
A block pass doesn't necessarily use the fastest exit from a corner after passing instead it is a defensive position to stop the other rider easily repassing on the corner exit. In this case it went beyond defending the position and was more of an offensive move forcing MM off the track, if there had been other riders following I suspect they would have been able to pass the duelling pair easily.

JOCO12: Bikenut I am so happy because it proves that MM and Honda lied and if they lied about the thing that they made a statement about you can bet they lied about other things and I do feel sorry for all the guys in these comments who actually saw the kick....and now that pathetic little man JL wanted to go to CAS knowing he had an option of moving to Honda he really is a lowlife I just cannot believe how much further Motogp can sink. It all falls into place now why JL stuck up for Honda and MM straight after the incident, why MM let him through and I think for definite now JL and MM did have a pact to make Rossi lose the Championship. I despise them
I don't share your depth of emotion either way so - ok

MotoStar:
"I've heard it all now. So he was probably going to ask them for a disqualification. Well, if that's how he wants to win his championship, fair play to him." Or maybe he was going to say a few kind words on behalf of his loyal friend and team mate Rossi, they have had a pr
Haha, well I would highly doubt it but if so then I will stand corrected! Lorenzo should be keeping out of this though and concentrating on his own race. The incident did not involve him, and he wasn't anywhere near them on the track to see it.
You are right of course - not his argument but remember he got pulled into it when Rossi accused him of "the pact" pretty sure That was gloves off time for Lorenzo - and MM for that matter, I don't think there is any evidence of a pact and really it was pretty insulting, I don't believe Lorenzo and MM even get on really.

JOCO12: MM HAS CHANGED HIS STORY MM has said in his statement today that he was pushed off with Rossi’s leg. MM HAS NOW CHANGED HIS STORY.Dirty Liars both him Honda, best news I have heard since it happened because he just looks such a LIAR now, any doubt in the other riders heads or their team, the media and any fan of anyone will now be wiped out. I CANNOT believe it he is the lowest of the low. All liars are. He has made his fans and supporters look like idiots especially the ones who argued that they could definitely see the KICK He now wants to move on , no chance you race fixer and liar do you think people will just forget about your dirty character I do not think so.
You seem quite agitated by all this?? , still sounds the same to me, pushed with leg / kicked If Rossi only pushed MM's brake lever causing him to crash is that different to kicking the brake lever?

MotoGP » Rossi champion if, Lorenzo champion if…

HansieMGP: What would be a fair ending to a championship, Marquez out of race after a few corners, Rossi's penalty to start from last of the grid delayed until Qatar 2016. This is the only way Rossi can fight with Lorenzo who will be world champion. Marquez blames Rossi for Argentina & Assen incidents (were Marquez OWN mistakes....) and wants to revenge by holding up Rossi so Lorenzo will be champ and Marquez will be 3rd anyway.......
At the end of the day it doesn't really matter who wins - Rossi is the better strategist and Jl the faster rider but I can't get my head round the Rossi supporters idea that all the other riders should just let Rossi through to decide the title with Jorge - if they did that then cancel the race.........it's already decided

MotoGP » MotoGP riders summoned by ‘Permanent Bureau’

ElbowDown93: No post-event press conference.....Good. (I personally think it is best to avoid all the Press Conferences just for this round). Dorna should have had it's Management to deal with the situation in Sepang when Rossi dropped the handgrenade and not all of this wouln't have happened.I was hoping Dorna to do excatly this to defuse the situation thay have in their hands now. Now Dorna must make it clear that 'no individual is bigger than the sport' ,drill it in to their heads if posible.Dorna should do this before the start of every year.[\block quote You are right, this championship went off the rails when Rossi made the unsubstantiated allegations in the press conference and Dorna stuck it's head in the sand and tried to pretend there wasn't a problem.
